130 mph clicking issue got car back from dealer
So my last thread that disappeared stated when I had the cruise on at 130mph on the high way and hammering it on and off. I heard a clicking noise and went to the dealer. I got my car back. So your probably wondering the solution. They said the noise was coming from the heater core and they back flushed the heater core. They said pieces of RTV came out and that was the cause of what sounded like a relay clicking. I said ya sure. Took the car and only hit hard up to 100mph and there is no clicking when accelerating hard above 5krpm.

How the hell are you setting cruise at 130 mph OP? And why are you going 130 in the first place?

130 isn't that fast. 150+ is pretty fast. It appears the silicone circulates around in the heater core tank hitting it which sounds like a super loud tapping. Nissan must have had thousands of these which is why the TSB was put out. This probably happened because some robot on the line was messed up some how causing rtv to drip where it didn't belong.

No, it's not the fact that you're going 130mph that surprises me nor
is it the fact that you're using cruise control at 130mph either. BUT... how in the hell did you get the dealer to replicate that clicking on at 130mph? I'll be shock as hell if they let a tech cruise control that thing at 130mph.

130 mph isn't that fast? lol OP, you need to get pulled over going past 100+. have you seen car accidents at 80 mph? imagine 130 mph! hahaha
but anyways, i'm not one to talk - 130's fast for me. closed course...the quickest i've gotten up to is 135 mph. car was stable, but the akebonos seemed a little flimsy at that speed, but eh...what else can i expect?
good note on the tsb. thanks!
