Putting these Magnaflow resonated tips on my '10 G37 Sedan

I like the way these turned out:
Father_Flanagan's A6 4.2 Exhaust Videos - Texas Audi Group Forums

You can see in those vids how the oval tips fill the gaps well. I think that'll likke really nice on the G, and not look too obvious.

so I'm going to try it on my G Sedan. I found the Magnaflow resonated tips on eBay and made a low offer for two. I will have the shop mandrel bend a new pipe to replace the stock mufflers, so I can switch out easily when I want.

I like resonators a lot more than mufflers. If the sound isn't quite right on the G, there is room to add another small resonator.

I'll also have the y-collector stretched a little to mate up better with my new/ bigger y-pipe.

Anyone else replace their mufflers with resonators on the G37 Sedan?
The only sound clips I could find were of muffler delete, none with muffler delete + resonated tips.

NOTE: I am adding the Magnaflow Resonated Exhaust Tip, part #35174, oval 2.5" inlet and they are 12" long. The oval is 3.5" x 4.25". They are listed as truck tips, but I like the idea a lot.

I'll shoot a vid when I get them on...

Will do! I just purchased two for $88 each off eBay.
Here's a better link for those vids. I love the way resonators sound when stacked!

I finally got the tips- $88 each on eBay, just need to get to the shop for an install....

The Audi 4.2L V8 has a wonderful sound, but the clips of the VQ37 with muffler delete made me think that it might sound OK if I can get a mandrel bend in there...

Any update here? I'm wondering if you've had the chance to install the tips yet.
