My audio system does not have a Bluetooth Audio source option. Do you have the Nav system?

The device looks promising, so hopefully we get feedback soon on whether or not it works, so cross your fingers.

Unless I'm misunderstanding, the easiest way to get audio from a phone or mp3 player is to just use the existing auxilary input. That's how I play Pandora on my stereo. I had to buy a cable like the one below to use my phone with the stereo:

Amazon.com: RiteAV 6 Feet 3.5mm to Stereo RCA Male Cable: Electronics Amazon.com: RiteAV 6 Feet 3.5mm to Stereo RCA Male Cable: Electronics

You can pick up a cable like this at Wal-Mart, Radio Shack, Target, or any other local retailer. Just go to the area near the headphones or the area near the other audio/video cables for TVs.

By the way, I have a 2008 G37 with RCA auxilary inputs (see this post for photo). I'm not sure if the 2011 has a different setup.

Hey Brian,

They removed the aux/RCA input jack on the 2010 and up models so there's ONLY an USB jack that works with USB drives and ipods/iphones (bluetooth streaming is only available with Navi/Hi Tech Package that many of us don't have). So for those with other types of devices, as such, Android phones, are looking for a device that can connect to our stock input and allow us to stream audio. So the device that the OP indicated looks promising, we just need confirmation that it works.

I have been looking for a solution to this for almost 2 years now. I've tested several other devices out but with no success.

Regards,

So I spoke to auris last night and after a lengthy conversation via email, I was advised that the auris is NOT compatible with the Infiniti's 2010 and up models that have the USB jacks.

So back to the drawing board...

Bummer, it looks like they can't get the story straight.

The Auris team emailed and stated, "auris has been designed to work with analogue speaker docks via the 30-pin. auris will surely work in your car stereo system if connected via AUX."

Regardless of the confusion.

If Auris will stream via BT your Android device, why couldn't you put a iPod USB cable inline? I have read that some iPod / iPhone users have to "trick" the car into streaming Pandora by starting an existing track first.

At this point I am not willing to tear my car apart to add an aux jack.

I have a 2009 with aux input. I received two auris units last week. I was hoping to connect the unit via the proprietary ipod dock connector. 07 to 09 came with a proprietary iPod connector unlike the 2010+ models with a usb connector. So there is no sound when connected via the 30 pin iPod cable. The screen says iPod not connected. I guess it is a digital only connection that works with the iPod. The auris unit does have a 3.5 inch headphone jack which is how I was able to get sound through my sound system via the aux input. My Galaxy S3 is able to connect to two bluetooth units at the same time. I just went into settings to dedicate the music only stream via bluetooth and the car's bluetooth for phone calls only. So when making a phone call I can use the car's handsfree buetooth functions. The auris units I received have rechargeable batteries via the 30 pin iPod connector cable. Fyi my iPod cable doesn't charge it because the car's proprietary cable only charges via the firewire port. I don't have the scosche adapter so I can't tell if that will charge it. I just use my cigarette lighter to charge the unit when needed. The only con is that I can't charge the auris unit and have the 3.5 headphone jack connected at the same time.

The answer to date is no; all of the Bluetooth to 30-pin devices all require a 3.5 jack:

The only 'real' option I've found is to spend about $2,000 getting an overlay system that turns your display into a touch screen and adds navigation and Bluetooth... that is until someone builds an aftermarket console replacement that will let you install any stereo you want.

You'll have to join the rest of us G37 owners that didn't get the Nav package and burn a candle, pour some on the floor, and shed a tear of mourning about the loss of the basic technology of a 3.5 aux port!

Look into gromaudio.com. This is what I had to do in order to use my android device. Works well, easy install.

There is a much simpler and cheaper solution that what has been suggested above. For around 10 bucks, you plug the NAXA adapter into your USB, pair it with your phone, and start streaming.

Amazon.com: NAXA Electronics Wireless Audio Adapter with Bluetooth for USB Connectors (NAB-4003): Computers & Accessories Amazon.com: NAXA Electronics Wireless Audio Adapter with Bluetooth for USB Connectors (NAB-4003): Computers & Accessories

Here is a thread on it:

There are also Isimple devices that add Aux input or bluetooth by hard wire tapping into your FM antenna. I almost did one of those, but then found the NAXA adapter I mentioned above.
