Gas Prices Suck!
Just paid over 4 bucks a gallon...and it's suppose to keep going up?!!! I could start this with a political rant, but let's not go there...
Instead, I'm curious if any of you are driving more conservatively as the gas costs are rising? I want to continue my spirited driving habits, but when my wife is in the car with me she keeps reminding me I'm needlessly burning through $$. I remember as a kid when my dad had a '69 Camaro 396 SS and would on occasion take a red light challenge and race it. My mom would always get mad. My dad's unforgettable reply would always be, "It's good to blow the engine out once in a while". They say "like father, like son", so I guess I have the duty to carry on family tradition and "blow the engine out once in a while".

Yeah, it's painful how much gas our cars use (and premium no less).
Good thing my everyday commuter car is a Civic. That thing get 37 mpg (sometimes I get almost 40 mpg if I keep it pegged at 60 mph), but the driving experience is no where near what it is like driving the G. In fact, merging on to the freeway is downright scary in the Civic.

Rising gas prices suck, but in the grand scheme of things a $0.50 rise in prices (from $3.50 to $4.00) is a $250 difference annually, or $20 a month. Spare a couple lattes essentially. In my opinion, my viewpoint won't change until I see gas go over $5.50/6.00 a gallon. Once they get there in Socal, then I'll start considering switching to a new DD.

The G is not too bad but it depends on how aggressive you drive and your over-all % between HWY/City driving. If you do a lot of city driving the G really suck in gas millage.
I do about 90% HWY. Just finished this work week at 24.2 combined. Last week I was at 23.5 combined.

I've heard differring opinions, since we're in the middle of the storm right now it's pretty easy to pessimistically predict that gas pricing is going to go through the statosphere. Supply & demand will have an effect though and these turbulant contries still have to ship their resources. When people really start cutting back on "extra" drives and cut out a few trips to Vegas & back, etc. the prices will start to level off. I doubt $6/gal will happen this year unless this middle eastern chaos continues to spread. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and my right foot a little lighter
