Drunk Driver + 2010 G37S= Bad Week

So while at work last week I got a call from the Arlington Police Department informing me that my car had been towed. The story is that a drunk driver hit my car going around 45 mph. The rear end is totally smashed and I am hoping to get an appraiser out this week to check it out. I went to look at it on Tuesday and I'm pretty sure they will total it. Pics are attached.

I'm guessing that I'm pretty much SOL on the car since the FMV of the car in this area will barely cover what I owe. Any suggestions on talking to Infiniti from the dealers out there? I bought the car last April and it didn't even have 12k miles on it. I'd like to get another G but don't have the same $15k downpayment I did when I bought this one. Are there any incentives out there from Infiniti? I have been searching this area for a new G and it just won't fit in my budget without any kind of down payment.

Any help would be appreciated.

Wow, that sucks - sorry to hear about that, but I'm glad you weren't in the car at the time.

Don't be afraid to ask for more if your insurance comes to you with a very low offer. It happens.

Sorry about your car. I just bought mine and used truecar.com. I bought mine for $3000 under invoice and got 2.9% for 60 months financing. BTW they are running that same financing rate thru 3/31/11. So give it a try and I hope this helps.

The insurance company should pay you the retail value of the car....somewhere in the low 30s.....you should get at least some of your $15,000 payment back. Good luck. You might want to check out retail pricing on NADA or KBB....as a reference point when you visit with the adjuster. I am sure your car is totaled.

That sucks!! Good thing you were not in the car. Damn drunk driver.

GOOD luck getting back into another G. As others have said, make sure you get the true retail price from the adjuster.

That car is not drivable. You got a flat on the right rear side.
