Maybe CR sucks. But I think they've nailed it on the G37. This is the 5th year in a row the G has won their award.
When I shopped for a new sports sedan last year, the G37 delivered by far the best bang for the buck.

Acura TL - cost more, less hp and FWD - PASS!
BMW 335i - cost a lot more, less hp, less stuff unless you want to pay even more and then your maintenance or repair after warranty will break the bank - PASS!
Lexus IS350 - cost more, less hp otherwise a decent alternative but - PASS!
Mercedes C 350 - See BMW, but the Mercedes has A LOT less hp - PASS!

I am totally in agreement here. I'm extremely practical, which means I want to get a lot for my money. I am also a huge car nut and I research cars all the time.

Who cares what CR says. The G sedan rocks! All that interior space. A real trunk. Lighter than the coupe. And all that power! I say it's a top sports sedan too. Maybe Top Gear should have a place on their subzero board for it. Hahaha.

Bmw interior quality isnt great.. C class on the other hand is ****. For its price the gs the best for its money. The 335s engine is good for people who like low end torquey and smooth engines. On the other hand the g has the more high end power raw type of engine which i prefer for spirited driving.

Im not too sure about the 335i since I never owned one but I traded in an IS350 for the G37 because the G felt quicker. I liked the IS350 and planned on keeping it. One test drive and I traded it in just after a year of ownership. Maybe the magazines or road tests show the differently.

i like how he puts on the helmet. i think its a little overkill to put on a helmet while driving a 328 hp sedan with air bags l . hes right about the G though it is a good value.
