Weird cracking noise when spinning handle

Recently i started to hear a little cracking noise when i turn the wheel at low speeds. usually right when i start to pull out from my parking space.

Dont really hear it when driving at all at faster speeds and such.

Its usually right when i try to pull out after parking?... any ideas?

I get a cracking noise from the steering column also. I also dont notice it at high speeds. I only notice it when I am pulling in or out of a parking spot, so very low speeds. I had the dealer look at it, but they said it was "normal", though they said that they could try replacing a part. Not sure what that meant.

Possibly need lubrication of your sway bar bushings. Are yours stock or aftermarket?

I am running stock (aside from some minor cosmetic tweaks). I wish I could remember what part he said. My noise is definitely from the interior column. It sounds like wires being twisted around.

Could be the intermediate shaft in the steering column, or the spiral ("clock spring") cable in the steering wheel. I have have problems like you described (in other cars, not my G's) due to problems with both these parts.
