Did some google search, looks like it's not just a G phenomenon.
Here's one thread.

Happened again this morning when I got to work. Always when I come to a stop I smell it. **duh** when I'm moving the smell probably gets blown away. The road conditions are wet from the melting snow/slush. Drove normally to work; basically like I'm in no rush
This smell is worrying me a bit. Hesitant to take it to the $tealer b/c I'm expecting to hear "can't duplicate the issue." I do have other issues with the car that I need taken care of..and I can get a loaner...Hmmmm...I think I'm gonna take it in. Wish me luck! I'll post if they actually find out what the smell is from....

I only notice this smell after I've driven 20+ minutes, to me its like a burning oil smell. I have no leaks, fluids are full so maybe is just me roasting tires?
