Failed attempt to steal MY10xS Fog light...
I went out Saturday night with some friends to a lounge in DC. Parked my car in a well lit public area and hung out for about two-three hours. I leave the lounge to come back to my car and find my passenger side fog light dangling along with the chrome shroud (around the foglight) missing. Looks like someone was trying to remove my fog light and only succeeded with stealing the chrome shroud, or maybe they were just after that piece. Now that the chrome shroud is missing, the fog light is very loose and moves around a lot to the point that it blew out my Nokya 3000k bulb.
Called local dealers to find out that you can't buy the chrome shroud by itself without buying the whole fog light assembly. $202.00 for a fog light. I am so pissed right now. Why didn't Infiniti make the foglight assembly one full peice. The chrome shroud is very easy to remove and I hope this does not become a popular theft item.
I am hoping that my local dealer or their collision shop has some wrecked MY10 sedans so that I can buy the shroud, or if they would let me take one.

OP, sucks that happened.
as for checking junkyards/body shops.... chances are, a wrecked G will not have any fogs intact unless it was completely wrecked from the back, and the front clip is completely intact

I hate parking in DC, whenever I do I wonder if the car will still be there when I get back or if I got a parking ticket from the army of parking enforcement people wandering the streets at all hours. I usually try to stick it in a decent garage or take a cab.

This happened in Adams Morgan. I went to District Lounge that night. When I left around 3am, I came back to the car and saw the car messed up. I parked on Columbia a block from the McDonalds.
