now what?

So I was changing my hid bulbs and I did 1 side fine but when I got to the other side and started to unclip the clips that hold the actual bulb one of the holders that hold the clip broke off...so basically the bulb is being held by only 1 clip..what should I do? Is it fine under 1 clip?

I am not 100% certain, but I believe the clip is pivoted at one end by a tiny screw. Both clips are actually one piece, you might be able to fix it by removing the headlight assembly from the car and readjust the clip. At least this is how it was for my retrofit E55 projector from my other car. I have not had the need to update my '11 G37Xs bulbs.

Good luck.

you should be fine, they are still secured by the two aluminum clips that actual hold the bulb in place.

the two clips that are on each side of the bulb that come down and clip into the housing of the headlamp well that lil plastic piece of housing broke off..so its really being held by 1 side of the clip because that other side has nothing to clip into...are you sure i will be ok?

oh, that whole piece is missing (the circular brownish portion) if that's missing then no, the bulb would move with every bump and have the potential to burn out because its constantly moving back and forth. Any pics?

ok this is a 2011 and you have to un clip the clips on each side of where the actual bulb goes in there(left side and right side) then you lift the entire piece to put the bulb in and the kind of put it over the bulb and clip it back in on each side...do you know what i am talking about?

you know you have to rotate the HID plug and not just pull it correct? Thats probably how you broke it.

And yes I know this is not a G37 headlight unit!

Yes yes I rotated it and took it off but the actual bulb you still have to unclip otherwise those two clips are holding it
