G in the garage. Fantasy second car?

With two vehicles already (Dodge Ram & G), it's not feasable for us to own a third car. However, as content as I am with the G, my wife asked me what I would want if I decided to purchase a third car. Naturally I could WISH for a $300K exotic rocket, but she suggested something within the affordability range of the G.

I was quick to reply: a new Camaro SS. This reply was based solely on their looks, I've never taken the time to research reliability, etc. I just think they are a cool looking ride and would be so different to own and drive from the G.

So, I pose the same question to all you other G owners, what would your fantasy second or additional car be? Again, something within reason as a deviation from the G?

Similar price but without needing any practicality?

Maybe a Lotus Elise? It's almost in the same range (I guess not really), but damn fun to drive.

I like the Camaro too, but Chevy hasn't done enough to prove that their interiors are much better than the Civics and Sentras of the world.

i've been slowly looking at a fun toy once I get rid of the G. The G sits in the garage and I only drive 7 miles with it the past month I rather get rid of it at this point

That new Mustang Boss 302 looks pretty hot. I drove the 412 hp 2011 5.0 GT for a pretty long test drive a couple months ago and that thing is a blast, the 444 ponies on the Boss should really get you around town.

I'm still going w/ a CPO Audi S5 though for something in the Gs price range. I'm kinda guessing what a used S5 wouyld go for but $40-45k seems close.

Hmmm this is a hard one, there are a ton of choices.

I believe many people cross shop the luxury car segment before they come across the G.

I was for instance looking into BMW 335i and Audi A5 before I brought my G coupe. And was ultimately driven to the G by it's value and look.

There are also the Lexus IS350, Cadillac CTS, Acura TL(kinda).

I have wanted a GT-R since they first came to the states. A decent used one would be in the price range of a new G. Would also love to have a C6 Z06 except for the noted fit and finish issues. This would also have to be used to be in the same price range.

3. evo?
4. lexus sux! i test drove one hated it
5. the e550 benz is pretty cool
6. used corvette, that would be my 1st choice.
7. classic car
8. used benz s class is nice too.
The camaros are a good car from what ive heard, 0-60 in 4.9, but they drive like a boat.imo american cars suck for all around performance.

i too tested one a few months back. the best part - ford was dynoing every 3rd or 4th 'stang off the line, and apparently they were all hitting anywhere between 420-425 rwhp (give or take a few ponies). YIKES!

I guess it all depends on what you're looking for. Since you already have the G, I would personally rule out all cross-shopped cars. Around the ~50k mark I would either get a used GT-R (because I've always wanted one), or a tinker toy (aka something to spend your free time messing with). So maybe a RX-7 that you want to rebuild. Or maybe even a motorcycle, if you're into that sort of thing.

Maybe just mod both the Ram and the G if you don't really need a 3rd car, and invest the rest of the money.

WAIT ! WHERE THE HELL YOU FIND USED GT-R FOR THE PRICE OF A G ????

A GT-R for $40k ??????

That car is $89k new (this year). The CHEAPEST Used GT-R you can find across the entire country is $60k. That is with 30k mileage and they don't get more than that.
