Missing Splash Gaurds

I have a 08 G35X and was watching the Hotchkis rear sway bar install video. Step one was to remove the bottom splash guards near the rear sway bar mounting brackets. I looked at my car and I don't have the guards but I do see where they could possibly be mounted.

Are mine missing? Are they an option? I would like to have them because of the crappy New England roads.

Here's a PIC showing where I think the cover/guard should be.

Splash Guards are optional, you haveto add them. I had to add them to my car as well.

Thanks for the reply.

Do you know the part number of the guards? I looked at a few OEM part sites but couldn't find them

that's an aero package mount, not the splash guard. the splash guard is mounted behind each wheel on the body of the car.
