I'd never expect Infiniti would produce the best G possible, this is targeted marketing, aimed at the guy that doesn't mod cars and just wants to buy the most hi-end G available. You want the best.. do it youself, there never will be a real option here from a manufacturer that you can't beat with 3rd party. You're not limited to a price point, regulations or warrenty cost.

What makes it "high end"? The fact they are calling it the performance line? Why bother changing anything major, just slap on a special set of wheels and exhaust and call it a day, then dont make the price 10K higher than a normal G (granted its only 5K or so more than a Limited Edition, but something tells me the dealers will demand MSRP for the IPLs, whereas deals are available for the Limiteds)

There is a certain car-stupid population out there that will buy the car because of the badge and the dealer's word that the car is "special". These are the same people that will immediately take it to the nearest swirl-o-matic car wash and then return to the dealer a week later wanting to know why their car isn't shiny anymore. They'll also be there next year ready to trade up for the IPL+ that comes with a heated parking brake for another $2,499.
Can't blame Infiniti for finding new and innovative ways to seperate people from their money.

I'd plan to keep only one on the lot at a time or maybe two.. one auto, one 6MT.

Look at the fine print at the bottom. 5.8 was the time with the traction control off. 6.5 seconds was the time with the traction control on.
0-60 (sec): 5.8 (6.5 TC On)
