LED reverse light question
Just to give you guys some quick background info.
I have changed out every bulb in my car for either hid or leds, everything from my glove box to my rear turn signals in taillights. The only light that has given me issues is the reverse light i have yet to find a bulb that is brighter than the stock bulb. Sure the leds may SEEM brighter when looking directly at it but when using the back up cam nothing comes close to the stock halogen bulb.
You guys have any links or names of bulbs that you would think would work?
I know that it is T10/ T15 led bulb and the housing is fairly heat resistant up to 165 degrees i believe.

A 25 watt would be perfect for the reverse lamps. I know on my reverse housing there is actually a vent on them....and the back up lights are on for such a short period of time i dont think heat would be much of an issue. The only thing you would have to do is make a wiring harness with a direct connection to the battery and switched power from the reverse lights.

Maybe they are not technically brighter..but they do give the street more contrast when u view it from the camera.

Once released they will be available in 2 setups and In virtually any color.
Setup 1 comes with the wiring kit, which wires directly to the battery. (people with subs, after market systems, etc will need this)
setup 2 comes with a direct connections simply plug hide and play.

Don't worry i have the wiring kit already made just ironing out the kinks for the heat problems as mentioned above.
They will be made available around March /April.

V-LEDS HIGH POWER 18W LED BACK-UP LIGHT LICENSE PLATE FRAME
If you want a brighter light for when backing up i suggest you get this vleds license plate bracket. I have it on my car with medium tint on the rear window as well as tint on my rear tailights. As we all know its hard to see what is behind us in our cars at night so with the tint i was reversing almost blind. Therefore i gave this a try. The lights on this frame are amazing. Lights up everything behind you with an intense white/blue light, so much so i can see objects through the rear windo and not just using the camera. Install is pretty easy too. Takes only about 30 minutes.

Yeah I changed out my reverse lights with the Super Bright LEDs like the ones from VLeds posted above and they definitely are not bright enough but I also changed out my license plate bulbs and those give off plenty of light where I can actually see with them through my reverse cam.

The reason why i decided to do the Hids i have 5% all around and backin up / parking on street with no street lamps is impossible.
