Little things that PLEASE me about my G

There's been an ongoing thread entitled, "Little things that annoy me about my G". At this moment it contains 19 pages. A good number of other posts that appear here seem to contain complaints. Maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones so far, but I have found far more features that please me about my G than those that annoy me. I guess it's just human nature to speak up more when annoyed. For a change of pace, let's look at the flip side and post some features that please you.

Among many things, I have to say that the thing that pleases me the most about my G is the responsiveness and drone of the exhaust each and every time I press the accelerator. No aftermarket exhaust needed for me--I love it just the way it is.

I prefer the stock exhaust also, it sounds great.

I only see 3 pages on that thread.
I have my "Number of Posts to Show Per Page" set at the maximum (100) posts per page, it's so much nicer! Judging by the many times I see people saying things like "this thread has X amount of pages!!!" I figure not too many others have enacted this improvement in their own settings.

Excellent! Just made the change to 100 posts per page and much better. Thanks for the tip.

So to amend my statement of "19 pages", let's just say for even more impact, there are nearly 300 posts to the previously mentioned thread. Maybe we can match or beat that number with positive posts here?

Thx, this is such a nice change in tone to being positive.

I would have to say:
-Everything works as it should
-The exhaust note is just super sweet (well since its winter I am keeping my windows closed, can't wait for spring)
-The payments, there are so low for what you get.
-The MT vs AT, Shodo vs Wood, X vs Non X arguments you see on this forum
- I will have to stop here, so others can chime in otherwise my list will be too long

1) Manual tranny
2) VLSD
3) Big brakes
4) Easy oil changes
5) High up trunk button so I don't have to swing the door all the way open in tight spots just to open the trunk (when I don't have my keys handy)
6) Push button start
7) Idiot proof locking keys in trunk (needed that a few times)
8) Non-folding rear seats (stiffer chassis)
9) Pretty high level of yaw before slip control kicks in
10) Analog clock
11) External Tow hook
12) Real sport seats
13) Auxillary audio through armrest inputs works while driving
14) First aid kit (though haven't used)
15) Aluminum hood
16) Big overall tire/wheel diameter
17) Dual intakes (another sign that it's a performance car)
18) Close proximity between gas and brake pedals
19) A no-frills option car (ended at the end of '09)
20) Aero package that really helps the reduce front and rear lift (zero downforce) and just isn't there for looks
21) Quick warm up heater

I'm sure I could come up with a dozen or so others.

- No problems with the car (only been to the dealer for regularly scheduled maintance over the past 2 years)
- Roomier than the 3 Series and C-Class for less money
- Comfortable seats
- Nice design language

I've had my car for 15 months now and it's not had a single problem. I don't have the paint or tranny issues that seem to affect some - my paint looks like brand new (I run a Porter Cable 7424XP over it once every three months). Compared to my old Accord 4 banger I love the power. I love the nice clean layout of the interior. And I still love the lines of the exterior. It's a fantastic car - but the next time I won't be a knucklehead and buy a black car cause it shows every speck of dust!

There ain't many 300+ hp, 4-door, rwd, manuals left in the market. Even less at the entry-luxury level and a bargain compared to others in the class.

During cold weather the Heat doesnt come out until its WARM!! no more guessing when to turn it on and getting hit with cold air!

Also aftermarket exhaust on these cars make it sound beastly!

300+ hp with all the options and more for less money when compared to BMW/Lexus/Mercedez.

Infiniti service has also been top notch for me as well.

i posted in that "things that annoy me" thread but that doesn't mean I don't like the car. I've never sat in a perfect car and I don't think there is such a thing. I, of course, love my new 2011 G37s sedan but there are a few things I don't like either.

Some things I like:

-Power
-close ratio short throw shifter (negative on the clutch, though)
-comfy seats
-good navigation system
-OK stereo (not bad enough to obsess about upgrading it)
-Improved Brakes (on 6MT, anyway)
-haven't had this one for more than a week, but my old 07 coupe never had any problems, and neither did my 99 altima

I'm not going to list the annoying things about the car here since that'd be off topic, but there are plenty of annoying things about this car. I knew about almost every single one before buying this car and I still did.

The color RED on this thing. I was thinking black or red and the wife really liked red so wanted to please her, great choice! I love getting the attention even though it's stock and the ladies love it!

Interior is super nice and way better (in my opinion) then a Beamer which is another reason I went with the G. I have two young kids so the back is perfect for them and I think it's the best looking sedan out there especially for the $.

Whoring out my favorite pic.
