Do you warm up your G ?

The whole reason they say don't let it idle and just drive it so in the long run you go to the mechanic and start fixing your car with problems it will have. If you're leasing then i would understand you wouldn't care about it after 3 years. But if you intend on keeping it why not take care of it.

I usually let my cars idle till the needle is in the middle normal position. I love my car more than the gas im wasting. As soon as its in the normal position my psychoness hits and I drive like I just stole it.

Are you serious? Asking for heated steering wheel in Miami, come on. Get a pair of driving gloves if you are that sensitive. Idle time to heat depends on how cold it is. Really haven't driven mine much in the cold until my wife ran her minivan up against a tree and had to give her my Accord to drive. But generally 2min warmup time. Not too worried about burning extra gas as you really have to idle a long time before you burn any appreciable amount.

Speaking of that "Low Outside Temp" alert that pops up whenever it's 37 F or lower, is there any way to turn that thing off? I keep the temp in constant display on my dash and I'm tired of clearing it each time I start the car. Is there a way to make it go away?

Why do you have to clear it?

Lol... Growing up in Miami has definitely spoiled me. I break out the sweaters at about 60 degrees, so 37 degree weather feels more like -37 degree weather to me. As I mentioned before I REALLY hate cold weather.

Alberta is a good place...to visit.
@Tinsley - I understand you now. On the '11 it is only a line of text that changes to icy closer to 32. I don't think it is even in reverse like in bashirdur's pic. That's why I asked. It doesn't stand out any more to me than the current mileage or temp, i.e. enough to know it is there but easy to ignore if you don't want to see it.
Hope you figure it out.
