I drive the sh#t out of my 2010 G and I get about 21.6 average from fill up to empty. I don't believe the computer most of the time but I get approximately 400 miles for 18 gallons of 91 from chevron or shell.
Btw 400 miles in 3 days. I drive a lot cuz everytime I stop I find more excuses to drive again.
3 months and 9000 miles already averaged total on the cumputer 21mpg

I was averaging this for about 5 minutes after i reset the fuel economy. Wish I can keep it there. I normally average between 19 and 23 mpg. Thats with about 60 highway, 40 city. Thats pretty good considering the thousands of signal lights jammed into Miami.

Use the instantaneous MPG gauge for immediate feedback
Folks have been looking at the 'average' MPG, instead of looking at the instantaneous MPG. From the instant chart you get to see the difference in mileage from each mph of travel. A week ago, I did a long highway trek and only got 20 mpg, I was concerned. I was travelling at 'moderate speeds'. A few days ago, I turned on the instantaneous mpg screen, and then watched it as i travelled at 70 mph, 65 mph, and down to 60. [sorry, I couldn't bring myself to only travel 55]. And just like magic, I saw the mileage go up, nearing 28 mpg once I dropped it down to 60 mph. While many folks say they aren't doing anything to suck up gas and they don't understand why they get 20mpg, but the guy who posts after them gets 24, I'll have to suggest that they're not entirely aware of the small differences in driving style that can make a big difference in mpg. ---and then once you come to accept that '20mpg isn't that bad', you'll go back to your origiinal style of driving and have more fun with the car

To be honest, I don't care what mileage I get.
Some people are forgetting, they bought the car for the style/performance.
If you want good gas mileage, go drive a crappy Prius or Insight with 200 less horses.
If you can afford a G ride, you can afford the maintenance and gas for it.
I'll gladly sacrifice 10 mpg for an extra 150-200 ponies.
Yeah screw the environment, I rev my engine when I see a hybrid.

We should be comparing apples to apples - I average 42 mph, so I'm in a different situation. In the summer, I am getting 23 mpg. Now in the winter, I am getting 21.8. I've heard people talking about things from "winter gas" to cold air being less combustible(?) than warm air and therefore takes more gas. Not sure if I said that right, but you get the idea.

When the wife is in the car, I take it easy. But when I'm driving alone, I want to have fun!
Hope she is not reading this forum...

I think the big piece there is that you are averaging around 15 mph.

Overall, my mpg is much worst in winter than in summer.
