I drive the sh#t out of my 2010 G and I get about 21.6 average from fill up to empty. I don't believe the computer most of the time but I get approximately 400 miles for 18 gallons of 91 from chevron or shell.
Btw 400 miles in 3 days. I drive a lot cuz everytime I stop I find more excuses to drive again.
3 months and 9000 miles already averaged total on the cumputer 21mpg

Yes I do.

Probably 85% highway and 15% city, most of my driving is to work and back i try not to go anywhere on the weekends to save money and wear and tear on the vehicle... I have OCD for low mileage and clean cars

I was averaging this for about 5 minutes after i reset the fuel economy. Wish I can keep it there. I normally average between 19 and 23 mpg. Thats with about 60 highway, 40 city. Thats pretty good considering the thousands of signal lights jammed into Miami.

Use the instantaneous MPG gauge for immediate feedback

Folks have been looking at the 'average' MPG, instead of looking at the instantaneous MPG. From the instant chart you get to see the difference in mileage from each mph of travel. A week ago, I did a long highway trek and only got 20 mpg, I was concerned. I was travelling at 'moderate speeds'. A few days ago, I turned on the instantaneous mpg screen, and then watched it as i travelled at 70 mph, 65 mph, and down to 60. [sorry, I couldn't bring myself to only travel 55]. And just like magic, I saw the mileage go up, nearing 28 mpg once I dropped it down to 60 mph. While many folks say they aren't doing anything to suck up gas and they don't understand why they get 20mpg, but the guy who posts after them gets 24, I'll have to suggest that they're not entirely aware of the small differences in driving style that can make a big difference in mpg. ---and then once you come to accept that '20mpg isn't that bad', you'll go back to your origiinal style of driving and have more fun with the car

People complaint about getting only 20 mpg, I will be very happy if I could get 18 or even 17 mpg average.

Less than 14.3 mpg on this tank of gas. Last tank was worst around 13.

To be honest, I don't care what mileage I get.

Some people are forgetting, they bought the car for the style/performance.

If you want good gas mileage, go drive a crappy Prius or Insight with 200 less horses.

If you can afford a G ride, you can afford the maintenance and gas for it.

I'll gladly sacrifice 10 mpg for an extra 150-200 ponies.

Yeah screw the environment, I rev my engine when I see a hybrid.

I think the big piece there is that you are averaging around 15 mph.

We should be comparing apples to apples - I average 42 mph, so I'm in a different situation. In the summer, I am getting 23 mpg. Now in the winter, I am getting 21.8. I've heard people talking about things from "winter gas" to cold air being less combustible(?) than warm air and therefore takes more gas. Not sure if I said that right, but you get the idea.

I'm not complaining. Just stating the facts. It's interesting to see how mpg varies so widely on this car.

When the wife is in the car, I take it easy. But when I'm driving alone, I want to have fun!

Hope she is not reading this forum...

15 mph average definitely kills the mpg. I do a lot of start/shutdown (read as "finding excuses to drive" ) during the day...each start seem to eat a lot of gas. In addition, I'm in bumper to bumper high way traffic most of the time. Local roads are full of stop signs and traffic lights.

Overall, my mpg is much worst in winter than in summer.

I have sworn by Chevron gas, and recently switched to Shell. My mileage shot through the roof - at least 2-3 mpg with no other changes.
