Does front lip have aerodynamic advantage?

Does anyone know if the front lip option on the 2010/2011 G37S have any actual aerodynamic advantage? Just curious.

It is noticeable at speed, but only if you know what to look for. Does it help overall? Of course.

I tested it on my G. I can do a quarter mile about 2 seconds faster with it than without it AND I can get to 155 mph about 25 seconds faster with it on than without. And when I put the wing on the back whoa! I can make it around the track about 15 seconds faster

This is good to hear, since the front lip spoiler on my old S14 was all for show.

I'd be willing to bet it offered some benefit, unless it was massive. The thing is, the effect was probably so small that only wind tunnel testing or ULTRA high speeds would reveal the change.

Refer to Windtunnel Test Data - HybridZ for some examples.

Wow really or do you think it could be a foot placebo.....How fast are you really going that it is noticeable...and in a straight line you dropped two seconds....really two seconds....wait wait really two seconds...you know the little period means the numbers after it are tenths of a second right????

the manual for 2009 MY described the lip and rear wing (not the spolier) as a zero lift aero package. Don't know how much lift the regular bodywork has as a comparison. Zero lift is impressive in today's world of mid-priced cars.

+1 I can't image a lip being very noticeable if at all imo.
