I'd cancel it and just do your own oil changes, it's a very easy car to change the oil on. The underside of the car doesn't have any cross members or other parts that get in the way to give you knuckle scrapes or have oil dripping from 10 different places. I run mine up on ramps, pull back the plastic hinged access flap, drain the pan and change the filter in about 20 minutes. The best thing is I know just how much oil to add and never cross-thread my drain plug You can find good deals at O'Reillys a few times a year on Mobil1 or Castrol Synthetic w/ Mobil1 filters for under $30, I just get enough for 3-4 changes and not worry about it for another 12-18 months. I change every 5k BTW.

my situation:
Financed my car as of Dec 22, 2010 and added the elite maintenance plan (schedule 2, 75k miles/5 years)
Now i want to cancel it as I feel the dealer misinformed me about it (my fault for not researching it before hand) and I feel I overpaid for it ($2410).
I called Infiniti consumer affair this morning to inquire about a cancellation and they told me that I can cancel it for full refund within 60 days of purchase as long as no claims have been made or no services have been used, otherwise it would be prorated based on how many services have been used and how long after 60 days you decide to cancel. They instructed me to go to the dealership I purchased my car from and to speak with someone from finance to cancel the plan.
So yes, it can be canceled and we have 60 days from purchase date to do so

That's what the dealership told me when I requested to cancel my extended warranty. I am still waiting for the reduction in balance to show up. The monthly payment is not going to change, however. You will just pay off the loan faster, I think.
