I wish I had searched the site before! I've been having wind noise on my G37XS for the past 4 months (started at 3,000 kms). Had the car into the dealship 3 times to get this fixed.

Today I took it in for visit number 4 and they finally found the TSB for the wind noise and have fixed the problem.

Now the only other issue I have is that the car wouldnt start for me this morning. I hit the start button 3 times before it started on try number 4. The car sounded like a sick cow and the dealer wasnt able to find anything wrong with the car. No codes in the computer, battery was good and they couldnt recreate the problem. Lets hope the gremlin is gone....

Thanks! I've been dealing with this issue since the car was new and dealer claimed they couldn't "reproduce" what I heard. Now it's going to get fixed, just as soon as they get the parts in.

Zenhan: You may want to check the rear most outside seal on the fixed window. Not where it contacts the door, but is between arch of frame on door and fixed small window. Granted, the car naturally has some wind noise across the back because of flow, but if you see a gap in that seal that is where the majority of the sound is coming from. When the car is 50mph+ (with someone else driving) you can push that seal from the inside back and forth. It's a one piece seal that the window wedges into.

This same wind noise came from my 2006 Acura RL driver side rear sail window and my G. O_o Same exact spot, different cars.

Just an update - dealer finally made this fix and my wind noise is gone. What's disappointing is the dealer. Mind you, this is a 2007 TSB that I had to bring to their attention (thanks to this forum) and they tried to act like they were doing me a favor by fixing it for "free". Also, if Infiniti has known of this issue for 3+ years and issued a TSB, why don't they just ship them from the factory with this fix by this point?

Since 2007 - irritating to say the least. Seems like an easy fix too.

Thought I'd bump this thread cause I experienced this same problem with my 2010, abnormal wind noise above 50 MPH coming from the rear passenger door. The Dealer said this was a known issue and replaced the seal on the small window. The noise is gone now. One of the indications of this flaw is the window will wobble easily when pressed at the corner. Hopefully not too many folks run into this, but its a simple fix if you do.

I had the same problem on a journey 2010, took to dealer, strip replaced, about 85% there, too little to bring up again til it worsens.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread but I don't care. I'm happy to have found this post so I can correct this issue that has been pissing me off for months. I have an 82 mile drive every day. I used duct tape in many different places around the right rear door fixed window until I narrowed down where to place the sealant. I now have a very silent car!

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I used financeman's solution and it worked brilliantly. I sat in the backseat while my fiance drove the car and identified the sound was coming from the rear fixed window around the curve. I put auto glass sealer under the trim and let it set for a couple of days, took it for a drive today and no wind noise at all even up to 80 mph. The noise used to start at around 50 and grow pretty strong at 60, and on longer trips 70-80 was almost unbearable. Cheap fix and it's been annoying me for months now, thank you!

I just bought my 2010 G37 last week and immediately heard the whistling from the rear passenger side. A quick google search led me to this thread and I'm happy to report that 11 years later, financeman's fix still works!
