Question about warranty.

Question about warranty.
So, the car just hit 20,000 miles. I do my own oil changes and have only been back to the dealer twice for an ecu replacement due to the original's high pitch noise. I'm now noticing brake judder, is it just time for new pads? or is it the rotors too? and, if it is the rotors, will infiniti still honor the warranty even though the car hasn't been serviced at the dealership?

you don't have to service your vehicle at the dealer to qualify for warranty. i'm not talking about the brake issue specifically, just warranty work in general. just document your services elsewhere, save receipts etc. i've never needed to "prove" maintenance at the dealer for warranty work, but it's always a good idea to retain the records.

A friend of mine went into the dealer complaining about vibration while breaking and he was a little over 20,000 miles. They cut his rotors for free. His brakes were still good. They told him the rotors are covered under warranty but the brake pads aren't.
