sludge slung on my car

just got done with my 7500 maint service at the stealership. When they were done they always put it through their touchless car wash so it was nice and clean when i left. after i drove the car home i notice sh#$ is slung all over the driver and passenger side and concentrated behind the front and rear wheel on the mud flaps. it was completely black but not thick and sticky. There is construction on the way home so im thinking maybe its tar from the road but it came off with one pass of poor boys spray 'n wipe. Then i start to think maybe its the tire cleaner they sprayed on the wheels but what tire cleaner is dark like this? Now i look on my reciept and it shows they sprayed cleaner on my brake pads. im betting all this sh#$ slung all over my car is from the break cleaner but not certain. wtf?? does anybody have experience with brake pad cleaner that can confirm this?

note: Let me tell you how much i love poor boys spray 'n wipe. this was a pain in the a$$ since i had to basically spray the whole passenger and drivers side. but i did not have to take extra time out of my day to wash the whole thing.

Most likely just tire dressing. Especially if it came right off with S&W that is my guess...

Yeah, if it was brake cleaner you wouldn't have any paint left.

Most brake cleaners these days wont strip paint they are just a very high alcohol based solvent so that they evaporate without leaving anything behind to contaminate the brake pad. Agree most likley just messy tire shine
