Am I just being picky?
Here's the issue. I took my car in for it's first tire rotation. When I got the car, I took a walk around it like I normally do (still no dents or nicks, yaay), but what I was afraid that would happen did.
The tool used to unscrew the lugs had slightly scraped the paint on the wheel section around the edges of the bolts. Not every section had scrapes but most of them did. The normal eye would probably not even notice them but I see them, and will notice them every time I wash and clean the wheels.
Could they have been more careful? Or is this just to be expected because there is no way this tool can be used in that tight area without possibly scraping the paint.
If the consensus is "yes", I am just being picky, then I'll accept that. But I am curious what others here think and if they have encountered something similar. Keep in mind, this is not what most would consider "serious", and I did not approach the service manager over this. I'm still sleeping on it for now to see if I get over it...lol.

This exact thing happend to all of the wheels on my coupe. The r/r wheel has chips almost half-way around one of the lug nut holes.
If it's a good dealership, they may offer to have the wheels refinished. In my case, they offered a mobile repair person. I declined as I heard the repainted areas peel after a few months.
From what I've seen, even a completely refinished wheel doesn't match the factory finish. I decided to leave my wheels alone as it will not change it's resale value down the road.
Maybe the service manager can comp you part of your next service?
