wrong forum, but Consumer Reports most recent "best of" edition ranked the Infiniti M37 #1 in luxury sedans.

 

Interesting that Porsche is so high and Audi so low, along w/ VW in the middle between them. I thought the Q56 was always Infinitis least reliable, maybe w/ the new Q they couldn't predict. Doesn't seem accurate that the G Coupe and the G Sedan could occupy both ends of the reliablilty spectrum.

 

CR has had its critics lambast them over thoroughness, accuracy and objectivity.

 

CR ratings are based on feedback received from their annual subscriber survey. Though there might be some statistical inconsistancies, I suspect the results are not without merit.

Why? Worst of the Infiniti line is not necessarily a bad thing. Also the Coupe is the car most likely to be abused by its owner. I would say that the G coupe being the worst model was a given based on that alone.

 

Doesn't make any sense that they have the sedan AWD as the most reliable G. Does that mean that the sedan without AWD is less reliable then the sedan with AWD?

 

Each ranking has a "worst" column that requires a forced listing. In the case of some, especially Infiniti, I'll bet the percentages between best and worst are fractional. Whereas others (some quite obvious) could have dozens of percentage points between them.

 

You are 100% right, if you look at the horizontal bar graphs in the link provided, Infiniti has one of the narrowest, meaning the difference between best and worst is very narrow. In fact Infiniti's worst is at par with Audi's best.
