not the motor, the blade itself when wiping.
doing some searching on here and it seems this actually normal...ahhh dang!
Im gonna end up replacing it with another oem driver side one. Bosch and RainX seem like awesome replacement but also there is complaints of fitment. 13.00 for oem is a good price anyways.

I've got the same issue, car is only 3 months old, and the driver side wiper leave a mess. Not bad with rain, but with the white salt crap, it's horrible. I'll try to get them replaced under warranty when i take it in for it's first service in a few weeks.

I figured with the single blade design, that the factory blades would be decent, but my 2010 was streaky as hell right out the box. I'm too cheap to replace them though lol.

I'm still using my stock wipers and I'm been using this car since May of 09. They still work well. Maybe their using cheaper wipers on the 10's cause i have no issues yet.

That's a good indication your wiper blades are worn-out or defective. Fortunately, they're just wear items and easily replaced. I also agree with others that the Goodyear wiper blades at Costco are a great deal and work well on my Infiniti.

I did when I first got mine. My wipers were not going far enough towards the edge of the windshield, which allowed the water to just pool there and get dragged bag onto the windshield. I had the dealer adjust them so that they stop much closer to the edge now, and the problem is much better.

I have had streaking issues on all the blades I have used since I got the car. If it raining fairly hard, they are great. If it is a light mist or I am using the washers to clean the windshield, they leave lines a lot.

Used our wipers for the first time a couple of weeks ago and yep, about a 3 inch section of the driver's side wiper is completely missing contact with the windshield about dead center. Will be expecting a replacement under warranty at our first service coming up soon. Minor problems like this I can live with.

FWIW - my '09 had streaking and poor wipe earlier this year. I pulled them out, turned them around and re-inserted them. They wiped cleanly after that.
Part of the problem is that when the wiper blade comes to rest, it's bent against the glass. It tends to harden in this position. Turning it around reverses that. It also allows the blade to curve differently, giving it new life. Still using my '09 blades...

Another "old" trick is to wipe down the blades with denatured alcohol - cleans all the frime and spent rubber. If that doesn't help with the wiping ability, then they need to be replaced. Thank You Acid Rain.......
