Looking at 2007-2009 G37
Hello all. I am currently in the market for a sedan and am looking at the Maxima, G37 and bmw 328i.
My fear of German car reliability issues has led me here. Canm anyone speak on their repair (under warranty or otherwise) with these cars? I have had several Nissans and our most recent Murano seems a little lesser as far as build quality was 10 years ago with my Altima. (although still good)

Here's a thread on Gs reliability
https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-sed...-problems.html
If you're looking for a G37 you won't get one in 2007, G35s for that year. In 2008 only the coupe was available in a 37. In 2009 all models get the 3.7liter.
You're wise to take BMW reliability into consideration. A good way to buy BMWs is get a CPO then trade it in for another CPO so you're always under warranty and you're not paying the high intial cost for a new BMW.
I learned the hard (expensive) way to never own a BMW out of warranty, unless you've got a money tree

Thanks, I can't see anything else that compares on looks, performance and interior amenities aside from a bmw. No money tree . I'm finding a bunch for under 25k with low mileage.

Not sure you understood, I've had those I'm now looking for an 07 to 09 G37. Not interested in a Maxima aside from maybe the new model 09+.
But my question has been answered, fears confirmed, avoid a used Beemer. But damn I love how the 3 series coupe looks. //M3's are all around were I work

I bought my '09 almost a year ago and have put 21k miles on it. The ONLY problem I've had is a rattle on the rear-deck. Absolutely no other problems. When it comes to reliability, you won't be dissapointed.
And I agree with you about the M3's. That is my dream car, and I will own one when I win the lotto tonight
