locked my keys in the trunk!

was showing my friend how the trunk doesn't close when ur keys r in the trunk. put the keys in the trunk. closed it. waited 2 seconds and i was officially locked out. had to call roadside and they brought this small air jack with them and a rod thing to unlock the car from the inside.

WTF!

Really? Something must have been in the way to obstruct the signal. I usually put my keys inside my gym bag, and I almost always throw it in the trunk and attempt close it. Luckily, my trunk wont lock/close which reminds me I left the keys in the bag.

I've done something similiar (leaving my keys in a bag or something) and my trunk won't close and lock either.

Then there's the button right next to the VDC off button that opens the trunk.

What he should have done is rolled down the windows JUST INCASE the trunk closed. That way he could have opened the trunk via the push button next to VDC.

Speaking of the VDC off button, it should be pushed immediately after pushing the start button every time you start the car.

"yea but the trunk doesn't open from the button under the steering wheel if the keys r in the trunk cuz the guy opened the driver side door."

I've opened the trunk with the button under the steering wheel while the keys are in the house. Or are you saying that the keys were in the trunk because the guy opened the driver side door?

haha sorry. the keys were in the trunk. The road side guy who came opened the driver side door cuz he thought the keys were somewhere in the cabin. I kept pressing the trunk button under the steering wheel and he said "ohh you cant open the trunk if you keys r locked in" so i had to grab the keys from the trunk through the cabin door leading into the trunk. lol

that's the very first thing I do too! Is there a way to make this permanent, VDC as an option you engage rather than the opposite?
