G37NC, Agreed on both issues. But my old 07 G35X was rattle free. My new G37X is rattle free. The Paint SUCKS. Already have several hairline thick scratches on the hood. AAAHHH can't stand this cheap paint job. Same as the 07. the scratches are NOT deep, but you see them so easily through the black paint.

sniper 27, I wash my own car too. No Brushes or harsh detergents. I see swirl marks now too. They probably came from My Dealer after they serviced the car, They wash it too. Probably via a commercial car wash nearby or on site. Aside from the 7 spd AT tranny, I've been complaining about, the paint job is the only Flaw with the car that I have. It was the same thing in my 07 G35X, that was Black too - the paint job, I mean, NOT the Tranny.

7AT and paint are the 2 most common problems people, including me, have complained on this board. I kind of get used to the 7AT now, but the paint ...

I too experience delays in downshifting manually in excess of a second, depending on throttle position, speed, and load. The car's trying to compromise between speed and comfort. I think this is inherant in its design and pushing for more speed will mean harsher shifts than we already have. In times of need, it's been fast enough for me, and with such a large powerband and usable torque curve, I don't need to shift ALL the time at least.

hey guys fairly new to forums here. I bought a 2010 g37 sedan sport recently. Like alot of people here, I too notice the back shelf rattling, along with my passenger door, passenger side rear view mirror. Dealer ended up taking care of all the rattles, except the one on the passenger door. you can here it with music on. I have setup another appointment for tueday, so hopefully they will take care of it too.

At first I was so upset because I only have 2000 miles on my car, only a month old and already in service for stupid $hit. To top it all of, the techs were being @sshole$. I remember telling myself that next car definitely won't be infiniti. But they ended up taking care of most of my issues. I still think that I shouldn't be going through all of this on a brand new car. My last car was a 04 mini cooper S and it had less rattles than my new infiniti. Granted that mini wasn't the most reliable car, but build quality was better.

As far as the transmission, maybe its just me getting used to it, or the learning feature works on the transmission. It seems to be shifting much better than when I first bought my car.

Are you sure the door rattle is not the seatbelt? Many of us have had that in the past. If the belt is not retracted properly it will rattle against the door.

I too had this rattle...fixed mine by removing the truck liner underneath the third brake light, reaching in a small opening to the left of the brake light and stuffing in some insulation material around the light. Rattle gone. Thought it was coming from the speaker cover, but the insulation did the trick.

Definitely not, Everytime I turn my music up, that rattle is there, I can push up on the door panel and rattle is gone.

I would take it in and complain. My 09 doesn't rattle at all, and I can't stand rattles...

Also, downshifting to 1st at 30kmh (18mph) is a bit on the high side, which is probably why it delayed. The rev matching makes it seem harsher. I (for one) wish the rev matching wasn't so agressive.

I fixed my rear deck rattle by inserting a piece of that furniture felt, the kind that goes on the feet of furniture so it doesn't ruin your floors, into the space in between the real deck and the window bottom, Wedges in tight, can't see it at all, and it stops the rattle.

My only other rattle (or current rattle) is the instrument gauge cluster hood. Intermittent and I can stop it by just pressing on it, and then it goes away for a while. Need to get that fixed.
