Inside Line G25 Review

I agree. I love the NAV and the sound system is pretty good. But I've never used the memory seats. I can live without that option.

MotorTrend article says "7.5-8.0 sec (MT est)." Haha wtf?
Anyway, I'm glad they made a G25. They're going to draw in a lot more people now. Think of how many more IS250's there are than 350's, and more 328's than 335's. Infiniti has finally screwed it's head on straight and decided to offer a lower displacement version of their best-selling car that's practically guaranteed to succeed. Good job!
I wonder what the average fuel economy for this car is like...IS250 gets great mileage and if it's comparable, they have a real winner. Based on the paper specs though, I'd be willing to sacrifice a couple mpg for an extra 100 horses.

Seriously though, does it really matter if people debadge the G25? It wouldn't bother me in the least, and I'm a G37 owner.

I had an IS250AWD, my fuel mileage was about 21mpg with mixed driving. I know others post very good mileage numbers out there but I was never able to achieve anything close and I had no lead foot then. With my G I am getting 19mpg with mixed driving, probably 50:50. Over the weekend I am a spirited driver, during the week, even a Prius would leave me in the dust from 0-60.

I Just bought a 2010 G37x with Premium and accents package. Don't need Nav at all. Wife and I have a Garmin that we switch between my G and her Cadi SRX. Foolish to spend almost $5000 to have Nav in both cars when you can have it for $200!!!!! as they say on ESPN NFL MNF Countdown........................ "C'mon Man"!!!!!

It's good to see that Infiniti has produced another G to compete in the entry level luxury sedan market. Definitely a good platform with a little less tech, I can see this selling nicely compared to the offerings of Acura/Lexus. I have to say this - what is up with the fugy wheels the 2010's came with stock, I like my 2009 17's much better.

I'd be more worried about someone stealing the "37" to replace the "25".

2. Navigation comes with a larger hard drive (9.3 v. 2.0 gig).
3. You paid $2,150 for a Premium package and $600 for an Accents package because you saw value in them. I guarantee I can find high quality wood overlays for less than $600. Similarly, many of us find value in an integrated NAV system, even though you can find one aftermarket for less.
4. The NAV system is integrated with the car in a useful way. I like the fact that audio is muted on the driver's door speaker when the NAV provides instructions, etc. I also like that I can get a status screen that shows the current audio track as well as turn-by-turn navigation on the same screen. It will cost you much more than $200 to get equal functionality.
You're entitled to your opinion, but your preferences don't render anyone else's choices "foolish".

$5000 is the combined cost for My G and Cadi for Nav Package.I'll tell you what what, the last thing i bought My G37 for was a Nav system!!!!(not even as good of a nav system that is in my mom's Town n Country limited that has a 40 Gig! and she doesn't use any of the space) I bought it cause it absolutely hauls ***!!!!!Is a great value, and is a gorgeous car. I have 2 Gig hard drive with my package. Who needs almost 10 Gig when you have your ipod intergration. The only time I actually use our portable GPS is when trying to find a High School that my son is playing football at on a Friday night. And that's only during the playoffs when I am not familiar with the High School. C'mon Man!!

The NAV system is the bomb. I use it all the time. And those screen GPS systems look plain cheap, not to mention the screen sizes are usually smaller.
The factory NAV has a stronger signal than any of my previous portable GPS systems, by a mile. I never lose connection, even in dense urban areas.

I realized this back in 2001 when I got my first car with OEM navigation. I was driving through the Lincoln Tunnel in NYC and I was surprised that my vehicle was still tracking on the screen even though I had no satellite signal at all. As I came to the end of the tunnel, my vehicle was exactly where it appeared to be on the screen and then I got the satellite signal back again.
So that's just another advantage of having a built-in navigation system. It actually relies on the satellite signal much less than the portable navigation systems which need the signal at all times.
