Just got rear-ended
Isht!
Extensive rear-end damage. 17 year old chick was following too close and hit me. Bumper, trunk lid, quarter panels, exhaust and C-pillar bent. What do you guys think? Totalled? 2009 G37X with 12K miles.

Yeah I hope it is not totalled, I love this car, I just hope the body shop can make it right. And like you said who knows what else is wrong.
Any good shop recos around Bellevue, WA? I dropped it off at Bel Red Auto Repair for tonight since I can't really drive it home. When the car is moving, the bumper unfolds into "wings".
BTW, does anyone know where around Bellevue, WA one can rent a G37 or similar? I hate the idea of being stuck in some Hyndai for the next few weeks, and I will press the issue with the insurance company. I saw that Avis, Hertz have G37 but they dont seem to have any available around town.
I plan on filing a diminished value claim too, that will come later though, after the repairs are done.
So guys, the most important question - what should I look for when inspecting the repairs when they are finally done? I will insist on OEM parts only.

That really sucks man. Sucks even more when it's not your fault. But it's definetely not totalled.
When they fix it, make sure you pick it up in the daytime, and not when it's a little dark outside and you can't judge the work. Make sure the color matches well. Make sure the trunk opens and closes well. Make sure the gaps between the trunk and bumper, the fender and bumper, the trunk and fender are all even on all sides... more or less. Sometimes they fix one thing and brake another (they fixed my friend's altima after front damage, car looked ok but heat wouldn't work-weird) . So finally, drive the car with one of the techs to make sure everything works and that the car drives as it should.
Save your money and go and rent a corolla or something. It will make you appreciate your car that much more when you get it back.
Good luck

Sorry to hear that you got hit. Same thing happened to me about 2 months ago, but I was driving my previous car.
The initial estimate for damage was 4K, ended up being 7K, and it still didn't drive like it previously did. But, I guess it worked out, because I bought a G to replace that car.

Good points provided by BLKG37X. In addition, get a good reflective eyeshot down all surfaces, looking for imperfections. Then take a garden hose with a nozzle and hit all areas around the trunk lip and lights. Open the trunk and look for moisture. It's better to do it immediately, rather than wait to have damage after a strong rainstorm to goods you might store in the trunk. Speaking from experience...

That includes labor. But they can't really know if anything else is wrong, 12K is just based on their observations of the exterior. Once they start tearing it down, they may find more issues. The shop uses only OEM parts. I won't settle for anything else.
