Yesterday a valet asked me..

...are those rims or hubcaps?

Really?
I have powder coated stock sport wheels, and that actually came out of the guys mouth. It wasnt an old guy either.

And no, I didnt valet my car, I just pulled up to load my luggage.

Or hubcaps on any Infiniti.
Yes, these are the high performance sport hubcaps, they were an option.

Are you serious?

Hubcap:

You usually see them ziptied to the hubs so they dont fly off when you're on the highway haha

I had to evade rolling ones on the highway on a few occasions lol

I almost never valet my car because I'm afraid for it, but in this case the car would probably be safe. When someone asks this kind of question, it means they are not into cars, and probably won't do any top speed runs on the highway or donuts in the parking lot with your car. As opposed to... one time I pull up to a restaurant, and as I pull up the valet has a huge grin on his face and I hear him mumbe to the other valet "328 hp".
Valet sir? F#ck No

Thanks for the info. . Yeah, I used to have that on my old toyota corolla. Yeah, those things are road hazard if you don't put them back in correctly.
