19.7 mpg mix of highway & city. Was 21.5 before the HFC's And about 18.3 when I do only city driving for the week. When I drove down from NY, using ICC distance to empty was about 470...so I almost literally squeezed 500 miles of one take full. My 08' X barely got 320 and avg 15.9 mpg so one of the 1st things I noticed was not having to fill up as often

Just hit 7500 miles

Central Florida area

It truly depends how you drive your car, this past month i was pretty conservative with only a couple hard accelerations and I averaged 17.6. however ive been pushing it to 4k before the shift and now im getting 15.2 so it truly depends how you drive it, personally ill take the 2 mpg drop in exchange of the fun this car gives you!!! and I'm in the Northeast, in CT

I have around 5K on the car (2010 sedan - all stock at this point) and at first I was getting between 16-17. That was before the car automatically adjusted it self to my driving. Now for the exact same driving each day I am getting 19.1 and this is on back roads and traffic driving. This is all based on the onboard computer. I liked it best before the auto adjust.

I'm at 2200 miles and I'm averaging 18.8. I do 70% city driving and 30% highway driving. I do drive aggressively at times.

Point taken, but there are many larger and heavier cars out there with more power that get better mpg. These cars are horribly inefficient for their size. Don't get me wrong, I do love my G sedan though.

Just going by the on screen readings, it really does vary a lot depending on how I am driving. I have been playing around with different driving techniques. Just to see how patterns work. I have been filling up, resetting my readings, and then trying a new technique. I drive about 60% interstate and 40% town.

If I drive in Auto D mode without any manual shifting, I will get about 20 mpg. When I go to DS mode it will drop down to about 17.5 mpg. When I go Manual it will drop to about 16 mpg.

So far I have found myself conflicted. I like the thought of the extra mpgs when driving in Auto D mode, but I really enjoy driving in Manual mode. So, I do it like this. If the wife is in the car, Auto D. She likes the smooth ride. On the drive to work DS mode to set the mood for the day. After a long work day, I go Manual to work out the aggression...haha.

It is all good and I know that I have some control over it. It is a little misleading that they advertise 18/26 and combined of 21. I have never gotten close to 26. The combined is close and probably achievable if I drove like an old lady...haha.

Just to compare since OP is considering going to a 37 from a 35. Our 07 G35 rwd got 16town 25hwy our 09 G37 rwd gets 18town 27hwy and this is w/ 20" wheels that weigh a bit more than the stockers, when I had the 17" rims on it it got up to 29 hwy. I'd imagine the X would also see about a 2 mpg gain w/ the 37.

Fuelly.com

Averaging 18.4 with a tad over 2200 miles.

I keep all fill-ups on Fuelly.com.

I'd like to see more Infiniti's signed up to get a bigger picture of the miles per gallon for these cars.

I had a Lexus IS 350 prior to this car and the Lexus averaged 21+ for the 3 years I had it. That with a pretty heavy foot.
