Losing key inside car

Does anybody else's keys ever fall out of their pockets while driving and end up between the center console and seat? This happens about once a week for me and takes quite a bit of effort and moving the seat around if I can't grab them before they fall all the way down.

This happened to me, once, with my 2006 G35. It took about an hour to retrieve the keys, and I was exceptionally careful not to risk it happening again.

My key has never fallen out of my pocket, but my phone has fallen there. I just move the seat belt part and pull back the leather seat and i can wiggle my hand and grab it. Or just poke it till it falls into the back seat

Dropped my key there once. The space is so tight that I couldn't reach it with my hand. Got something to push it down to the bottom of the seat then poke it out. Space under the seat is so tight also!

I keep a 2' long, 1/4" diameter wooden dowel down in that crack. It sticks out one end or the other about 1", I can grab it and use it to fish things out. I just leave it there so it's ready to assist when needed. You can get one at most any hardware or craft store for a buck or two.

I have a very simple solution for you...keep your key in your left pocket.

Mine has never fallen out but if it does then it is super easy to get b/c you can just open the door and you've got all the room in the world.

I keep my keys in my left pocket too. No problems there. I have lost my phone a few times though.

I said I would never eat in my car. I was in a hurry one day and decided to eat some fries on my way back to work. I dropped a french fry down in between the seat and console and could never find it. It still drives me crazy knowing it's down there somewhere. I don't eat in my car anymore

Ah yes, I call it the Depths of Hell!!!

I've only had my G about two months and have done this at least three times. You have get out, move the seat all the way until you can see the key, forget trying to put your hands in there.

I will try to remember to put the key in my left pocket like "hispeed-lowdrag" suggested, good idea!

Oh yea, I NEVER eat in my car! MIA French fry, LOL!

I usually just put them in the cup holder, or stick the key fob in that hole below the steering wheel on the left.
