A/C and sun roof
What do you guys think: will the A/C work better with the sun roof tipped or not? I see a lot of drivers with a window open; I don't want to do that but what about the sun roof cracked.

If your A/C can't keep up, it is not working properly and should be examined by the dealer. The G has a monster A/C system good enough to make it a rolling refrigerator.

^VERY true. The A/C in the G is the best of any car I've ever been in.
But in answer to your question, if you are running the A/C very cold with the window(s) open you are really putting added stress on it b/c it's trying to cool the car down and the cool air is leaving as warm air is entering and so it overworks itself.

Not to mention you are making the system work overtime to get rid of the humidity too.
I don't think you have to worry about it breaking but just working it harder so more stress on the system and possibly slightly worse mileage.

The only possible reasons for having the sunroof open or tilted when the situation otherwise calls for A/C are (1) the car has been sitting in the sun and opening the roof may initially help to vent out hot air, or (2) you just like more fresh air along with your conditioned air. In the case of the latter, there is NO way the A/C will "work better", though.
