Newbie here...Was it a good deal?

The name: Gwhipped (G - no explanation needed) (whipped, because I am and I'm paying for wifey to drive OUR new car)

Just joined the family, since restyle wasn't due until 2012, I bit the bullet. Here's the deal I got:

2010 G37S Journey Sedan - Blue Slate/black
(Auto - again as my call name implies)
- premium
- sport
- navi
- illuminated kick plates (ooohhh...aaahhh)
- sport splash guards
- carpeted trunk mat, cargo net and first aid kit

Sticker 42,140

paid 38,100 (BS dealer fee, wheel locks, nitrofil and dest included) + TTT

(OTD 40,900) 36 mth financing: NO INTEREST

I tried my darndest to get them down to 38 even..... they threw in $100 parts dept gift card....I probably could have squeezed some more, but thought it was a fair deal and wifey was gett'n antzie.

So while I'm in my '97 civic hx dreaming about the new WRX that could have been in my driveway She's in the lap of lux. At least I have my weekend '99 4runner LTD 4WD (nicely modded, but not a daily driver) and I'm out of the dog house for a good while now. Pics coming soon.........
As for the new G37S.... what an awesome care. I smell a spoiler, intake and exhaust soon

Nice handle. Welcome to the G family. Sounds like a good deal by the way.

man alot of great deals out there now. better than when i bought mine in April. i negotiated too 34.8k from a 41k sticker then the nasty tax, doc, dealer etc charges brought me close to 40k.

that's a pretty good deal. obviously, the deals get better later in the year.

i bought my 09 g37x coupe w/nav last october for $36k which stickered for $45k. that's not including TTL.

Congrats on the car! You got an OK deal, depending on how much that dealer "processing fee" was. For reference, in my area, Zag.com is offering a price of $36,858 for your car, plus dealer "processing fee" and TTT.

later in the year is definitely the better time to strike a deal but stock-on-hand becomes a bit limited....picked mine up in December for $35K flat + tax/lic/fees for nav/sport/prem/aero. Considering the time of year for your purchase...yep, pretty good deal. Congrats....you're gonna love it.

Personally, I wouldn't get the Nav... you can save $1.8k off the sticker price, and a Garmin or smart phone will do the same thing. Don't get me wrong, it's a really nice Nav, but I personally think $1.8k is too much for GPS.

Either way, you paid below sticker price, so good deal! Enjoy your new G =)

nav

i get the point about the nav, my thoughts exactly. the wife wanted nav. I'm glad we got the sport. originally, it was going to be nav/prem. but i got wifey to buy into the sport (plus it was the only one in the color she wanted)

So while I'm in my '97 civic hx
I traded in my '99 HX for a new 2010 G37S w/ navi for $33.9k (+tax)

I didn't want the navi, but whatever. Comes in useful when I end up in places like Boston, NYC, or DC. And I paid what I wanted.....

The 'ol HX

Don't get me wrong I love my HX with the CVT....what a fun car, but with 204k miles it's no young'n. It's more or a science experiment to see when it dies. Loving the G, though. I got plans for the spoiler, invidia exhaust, tint and a CAI. Pics coming soon

Ah, mine was a manual. 150k miles on it, was still running strong, but all the potholes here had taken their toll on the wheel bearings, steering, etc. And the A/C had broken ~2yrs ago. Repairs would have been what I got for it in trade so........

Like a kick in the nutz going from 45-50mpg to 19-28mpg....
