I payed 35k for my 2009 g37x prem. And nav. and maintenance package for 75k miles. With tax and additional wheel and tire insurance it was 40k exactly out the door.

every month there are different incentives... you can't really compare with other people and what they paid. It's like gas prices --- very unpredictable...

very true. Especially with the financing rates and cash off the car... I opted for 5K off the car rather than the 2.9% financing and now pay 5.5%. But now there are new financing rates like 1.9$ or even 0% that dealers are giving which is better in the long run than the price of the car.

When a thread like this comes up I always see a wide variation in prices paid. Keep in mind that the tax rates from state to state can vary considerably. The best way to post your "deal" is to include pre tax, reg, etc., that way we are comparing apples to apples.

We paid $36,109; MSRP was $41,620. With all the BS, high CA taxes, our OTD was 39,869. We were going to pay cash, but qualified for 0% financing for 3 years, so we invested the money safely and as the money sits and payments come out, we are also drawing interest. This is actually decreasing our initial cost of the vehicle monthly!

well done! You are right, different states with different tax rates can charge different prices for the car. However, the smart way to buy the car is know what you can afford, see what other people are paying for the same car in the same general area, and then factor what is better; low interest but pay more for the car or higher interest and pay less for the car. At the end of the day a dealer is going to make money and these two prices are going to be within a few hundred dollars. For example, my high interest makes it more expensive for the car in the long run even with getting almost 10K off the MSRP price, however, I knew I would pay off the car within 3 years rather than the 6 I have a loan for. I had just started working so for me it made sense to have the 6 years and lower payments just incase my job was in jeopardy. Once again financially it wasn't the smartest decision, but it was what I was comfortable with at the time.

Prices can vary wildly depending on when you buy the car. For example, a 2009 purchased after the 2010s were released can be wildly discounted since the car went through a mid-cycle refresh.

For example, I purchased my last-gen 2007 G35 coupe for about 28,900 (MSRP $39,800) but that was after the new 2008 G37 coupes had been out.

Of course there are different incentives, regional differences (you'll likely be able to get a better deal in Kansas City than in San Francisco), and the volume that the dealership you go to sells at. If there is heavy competition in the area, you will get a better deal from a large volume dealership. Nicer dealerships in more affluent suburbs will generally be more expensive since most of their clientele will just walk in and pay most of the sticker price.

That sounds about right. I got mine for $38,300 + 0.0% APR back in April 2010. Some people on the boards claim before TTL prices around $36,xxx. I have NO IDEA how they got to those prices. I say you got a pretty good deal

That really depends, I got mine navi not only because of the GPS function. I also got it for the higher resolution touch screen and the DVD player.

agreed! but i understand where smash's coming from. to each their own. i hate, HATE how the navigation locks when moving.

It doesn't matter whether it was a good deal or not. Nothing we say will change the fact that you already have the car, so all you have to do is... enjoy it!
