Weird Center console rattles
I have this rattle that comes from the center console where the cup holders are.
When it's like 90+ degree outside the interior would get hot, even tho i have tints and i put up the windshield reflector each time, it'll still get pretty hot in the car.
I notice when ever i drive and turn it would rattle. But the stranges thing is that it goes away after i turn on the ac and cool down the interior. Like when it'll rattle because it's still hot i can push against the cup holder panal and it'll move and rattles back and forth but when the interior cools down it's really stiff and silent.
Is this due to the glue that's holding it together being heated up from the weather and cools back down afterward?

I have the same problem...I believe it's the little T shaped flap inside the cup holders. If you wiggle it side to side you will hear a clicking rattling noise. I still have to take mine to the dealership to have them replace it.

Mine has started squeaking when placing your arm on the center console. The center console is rubbing on the cup holder flap. It is quite annoying, talking to the dealer when i get my oil changed in a couple weeks.

The plastic in this car is cheap and reacts to changes in temperatures by expanding and contracting. When it' really hot out side and I first turn on the air my car will make all sort of little cracks and pops for about 10 minutes and eventually they all go away. A lot of them come from the AC vent windows.
Good luck.

I hear a tap when I accelerate and tap when I brake, kinda like a plastic ball or something moving around in the center console. Anybody know if there is a place to lose change or something around the center console?

not so much around the center console BUT, I do get a strange rattle-creaking noise around the left side of the steering column and sometimes another similar noise that seems to be coming from somewhere around the sunroof components. I love the performance and feel of my G, but I had hoped these annoyances (that I had with my Altima) would have been eliminated in the jump to a "luxury" car. hmmmph. I thought luxury cars came with luxury materials and fit & finish. People I know with 5y/o Accords & Camry's have a quieter, rattle/creak-free interior. Yeh, they're Accords & Camry's but c'mon...this is my boooooo to Infiniti.

I found that coins can get trapped "standing up" in a little groove inside of drivers side of the console. When you accelerate they roll back, when you brake they roll forward... Drove me nuts for a week or so. Hope this helps.

Inside the felt area of the console? I thought I checked to make sure everything was cleaned out but I'll check again. I'm just happy to know I'm not going crazy and hearing phantom noises.
