Nissan/Infiniti News Room
2011 Infiniti G Sedan
Enhancements to the popular Infiniti G Sedan for 2011 start with the introduction of new "Limited Edition" and "Sport Appearance" models with special exterior and interior content features. Other 2011 refinements include one new exterior color and standard Scratch Shield Paint on all models.
For 2011, the Infiniti G37 Sedan will again feature a 328-horsepower 3.7-liter "VVEL" V6 and choice of 7-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmissions, along with available sport brakes and 18-inch wheels. The G37 Sedan's advanced engine combines with the second-generation FM (Front Mid-ship) platform -- featuring a 4-wheel independent suspension with lightweight aluminum components -- to provide responsive acceleration and agile handling. The G37x AWD adds Infiniti's "intelligent" ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive system.
All 2011 G models continue to offer a strikingly seductive exterior, defined by its sleek wave form hood, signature G-style taillights and raked A-pillars and athletic stance. Inside, the G Sedan provides a crafted, heritage-inspired interior environment and luxury features such as standard leather-appointed seating and an available audiophile-quality Infiniti Studio on Wheels by Bose.
Advanced technologies include standard Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition and available RearView Monitor; a touch screen Infiniti Navigation System with XM NavTraffic® real-time traffic information and 9.3GB Music Hard Drive (XM® subscription required, sold separately); and Intelligent Cruise Control with Preview Braking.
The 2011 Infiniti G Sedan goes on sale in September 2010.
Changes for 2011 include:
New "Limited Edition" models with unique exterior and interior treatments, along with sport-tuned steering
New "Sport Appearance" models with sporty exterior features

One new exterior color: Malbec Black

Limited editions equals the 2010 special edition model that came out months back
RWD sports package with the brakes and steering upgrades now available on the X models.
Minor tweaks to front fascia.
Nothing major to distinguish them with the 2010s from the exterior basically but progress in the right direction. Dont ask me what my source is as I cannot locate it anymore but time will tell if the source is right.

What would have sucked for me are major exterior/interior changes btwn the 10s and ther 11s. Nothing much to differentiate the 10s and 11s from the outside IMO. The rest of the changes I can live with, it comes with the territory, every year your car grows obsolete one way or the other, I expect major changes in 2013 or maybe thats when I want the changes to happen, LOL.

Infiniti can do whatever they want to their vehicles but until they get paint that won't chip off by just looking at it the wrong way I'll be shopping for another brand.
I really hope they get the paint issue fixed, I love the Gs, but I'm not going to pay $35k or more for paint quality that belongs on a Kia Rio

I really don't give a damn what they call the paint they put on these cars, it's crap by any name from at least 07 to the present.

I have to agree with you here, however the difficult part is shopping elsewhere. BMW is going to 4 cylinders in 2013 (when I will be getting a new car), the S4 while great is undercut by the G price wise and more importantly Infiniti is throwing in IPL this year so its quite possible to get M3 performance at S4 prices for the top end G IPL by the time the lineup is refreshed around 2013. I may want to change but its looking unlikely if the changes play out like this.
If Hyundai can work out a couple refinement issues along w/ their suspension, a new designed Genesis may be an option. I thought I'd never consider an American car again but the new Mustang GT seems to be really getting some good press lately and 412HP wouldn't be a bad thing
Hyundai has paint quality that is far better than what's on our Gs, not sure about Ford, but it couldn't be worse.
C-MON Infiniti, please fix this (before 2013, lol)!!!!!!!
