Tint on back doors small triangle area not covered fully

Just was wondering if anyone that got tint has the same space that I do. Maybe I'm just being **** but I thought it should cover the whole window? What do you folks think? Is it supposed to be like that? (Hope the picture is ok)

It's right

You're windows are partially down. It's normal to leave that gap at the top to allow the window to go up into the frame without the tint. It should not show a gap when the windows are fully closed.

Thanks for the response, but this is the small triangle area that doesn't go up or down on the sedan back doors

Gotcha. I just looked at mine. I do not have that gap on the top of the rear quarter windows. There is a slight gap that I could barely see on the corner, but that's it. Bummer, I'd take yours back to the tint shop and tell them to do better.

I don't think that is correct. Every tint job I've ever seen has completely covered the window. The tint is too think to mess with the frame of the window

really? Is it just different on sedans vs coupes? Mine doesn't have a gap at all (and neither do any coupes I've ever seen)

I don't know if the frame-less windows of the coupe makes a difference, but it still goes into the frame when the door is closed...

ya really there should be a gap to prevent it from rolling over time/usage. My tint guy is the sahite and that is streight from his mouth. It can be placed right to the edge but that is not the correct way to install it. NOw this is not true for the static windows that should get full coverage.

nah, you're wrong foo. The sedan back door have two windows. The one the OP is talking about is the fixed window.

OP, get it re-done.

Tint was a bad job. That part should be fully cover. Take it back and tell them you want it redone. don't let them tell you that it is normal they're wrong.
