Howdy!
Just joined the list. I've a 2010 G37S smoky quartz/black I purchased in March. I'm a 'car guy' and have had several cars in my lifetime. I'd say an Audi S4 Avant and a BMW MCoupe were my favorites. I chose the G sedan over the 3 & 5 series, VW CC 6cyl 4motion and another model or two, but cant rem. at the moment for maintenance, reliability, cost upfront and performance. Regardless, I'm enjoying the performance/comfort of this car and plan to keep it awhile!
I've a couple questions of things I've run into with the car though:
1. The auto A/C seems to continue to blow cold/hard beyond what I'd think is plenty of time for the cabin to reach desired temp. Even bumping it up to the mid 80's it still blows cold air.
2. I've a HTC Hero cell. Sometimes it connects quickly, others it doesnt at all, but will connect if i initiate the call from the cell. It's odd also that sometimes i can access the phone's directory and other times i can not. There's several oddities concerning the bluetooth, but those are the first to come to mind.
Cheers!
Chris

1. Yeah, that auto A/C can be overwhelming when it's working hard. On hot days I usually leave mine around 78-79 and then point the vents away from me for indirect cooling. Then the car gets down to a reasonable temp without freezing me out in the process.
Of course, it gets a bit hotter down in your parts than it does here, so I'm guessing the thing comes on full blast quite a bit.
Can't help you with #2, sorry!

Aye Shadow, i do the same! (78-79 & turn vents away).
after seeing some of the other posts, my car also has: A/T, nav, ambient lighting in footwells and door sills. Aftermarket, I added a clear bra and tint (a must here!).
More questions!
Anyone know a supplier for a leather holder/cover for the key fob? Anyone with a cat-back exhaust yet? Switch for auto reverse side mirror?

Welcome and congrats on the new ride. We have at least three things in common. Both our names are Chris, we're both from TX, and both have excellent tastes in our choice of car
I do the same that SM suggested. I normally keep it on 79 and aim the vents away from me. In the winter when you use the heat, you'll find that you will have a different temperature that you use. The "Auto" part of this climate control could definitely use a little tweaking.
As for the BT, I can't help you. My iPhone works great with the BT(aside from not being able to download my address book to my car).

Hey Chris! I'm in SA! I've seen few G37S' here, sedans or coupes. Not too many G35S' either for that matter. I was originally looking for an '09 G37S, but only found two. One in Houston and one in Concord, CA. Ended up getting a great price on a '10. Is there any G clubs/groups in the area?

Welcome to the world of G
I too am a bit baffled at the auto temp controls (and this is my 2nd G). Always seems to continue blowing in turbo mode until the cabin is very chilled, maybe the temp sensor is back by the spare tire or something, lol.
As far as the keyfob, just send Terry a PM over on G35, maybe he can still get them, I ordered two a couple years ago and they work great, here's his PM link
