clicking noise

does anyone's car make a clicking kind of noise under the hood in the morning when the car is cold for about 10 seconds and then starts fading away?? is it normal??

valve chatter? it's normal. it tends to get quieter, but doesn't quite go away. loud in the mornings, yes, or initial start up after cooling down.
