Infiniti Reputation?

Like I've said before, I'm deployed and haven't bought mine yet. 2010 G37x Sedan

But curious, infiniti is a under appreciated named brand of car. I know hondas will run forever, thus the reputation they've had and I've heard from everyone. But of course, a Accord isn't a G37!!!!!!!

What is Infiniti's Reputation for long lasting? The warranty I noticed isn't as good as other makers, so this made me raise a eyebrow.

I'd drive it to work everyday, race a stupid kid on the street every now and then, use the backseat with my hot wife every now and then, normal use of a performance car.

Any insight would be appreciated

Ohya, some of you guys have some SIC freaking rides!!! NICE!!!!DOMO

I think Nissan/Infiniti is a bit behind Honda/Acura and even Toyota/Lexus when it comes to that kind of reputation. But it's still way ahead of most American and German vehicles.

like stated a lot on these forums infiniti is considered the new kid when it comes to luxury cars. only just had the 20th anniversary compared to bmw mercades etc. But no means are they any worse imo with being reliable and a over all great car.

I have worked for Infiniti for a while now and can honestly say the QX56 is the only one i have seen with issues. Other then that everything is basically routine maintence and little things.

I Use my car exactly how you explain you will use yours and I could not be happier I was strongly considering and almost bought a Acura TL before the G and am extremly happy I went this route.

Personally, I still see a lot of older G20s and I30s on the road. Just from that I would say Infiniti is just as good as Honda/Toyota. I also know a bunch of people with the first gen G35s that are still running beautifully. They are between 7 and 8 years old now.

We constantly have old I30 and G20's in here with 200k etc on them getting just normal things done brakes etc.

However when most of those were put out they were basically nissans with infiniti badging...

Everyone say Honda is reliable. But my wife's 2002 Acura RSX has lots of problems considering that it is less than 70K miles. And more repairs coming! The only thing reliable with this Acura is the brakes.

Infiniti has built a reputation on progressive design, excellent performance and bulletproof durability. It's a Japanese marque that's not afraid to show off it's roots! Not sure what OP was talking about with warranty, but Infiniti is on par with most luxury brands. Finally, Infiniti/Nissan is right on the tailpipes of Acura/Honda in terms of being the higher ranked automotive brand in the U.S.

There will always be random stories of someone with a Honda/Acura that has had plenty of problems. But that's true of any brand. From my own personal experience, the Acuras in my family have been absolutely bulletproof. In fact, my mother just purchased an MDX after having a TL that ran without a single issue for the 8 years she owned it.

I've had four Acuras: two Integras and two TL's. Acura/Honda's weak point has been their transmissions. 2009 G37 is a great sport sedan. I seriously looked at 2009 TL but couldn't get past the Acura front end.

Maybe other Acuras are better. But the RSX has many design flaws. Its a pain in the a** to change air filter. And this is crazy...I actually had to spend 2 hours to change a single headlight!! It took me less than 2 minutes to change headlight on my old Maxima.

The backseat action might result in a seat bubble or two.

I'm not saying anything, I'm just saying...
