Still have my 05 Altima...bought it new and have 130k on it now, i just had to do brakes and shocks but that's it so far...change the oil and replace tires and you're good to go for a long time.

Like many posters on here, I've owned a number of Honda products (2 Civics, 1 Accord, 1 Prelude, 2 Integras, 1 TL, 1 RSX, and now an MDX) and never once did I have issues with any of them. All I did was change the oil, tires and brakes. As for your RSX issues, I never had a single problem with my RSX (mine had 120k when I traded it in for the G). I didn't find replacing the air filter difficult at all but I do agree that changing out the headlight bulbs is a PITA...I found it much easier to just remove the headlight and replace the bulbs.

Even if Infiniti is a newcomer, Nissan is not -- the cars are still manufactured by a well-established company. Although from the looks of that graph it appears the best parts get saved for the Infiniti models -- as one would hope.

(I guess land rover is so bad they fell off the edge of the bottom this year.)

I don't know what makes me shudder more...the names in the last 6 places or that BMW is just 2 spots over them.
I wonder what the funboys at bimmerfest would have to say about that

They'll point out that the 328 is about as reliable as the QX56 (and boy I've seen a LOT of QX stories... and lemon'd ones...)

Last year they had Land Rover at the bottom. Of course British cars have that kind of reputation to begin with. But I think when you get into the +50K and +100K price ranges (notice the 328 was considered BMW's most reliable) you just have more complicated systems, more brand new technologies, and more features in general. The result is more things are going to break.

I think you could safely bump the G up to about mid-sized. A Lancer or a Sentra qualifies as a compact sedan.

I had to take out 5 (or is it 6?) screws and take out 2 clamps in order to change the air filter. I just don't understand why they didn't design it to use clips like most other cars.

I disagree
I love the car, and I'm not sure what the qualification of the G is but there is nothing mid sized about it. Camry, Maxima and such are mid sized. This car has tiny everything. It definitily has less interior space than a lancer, about the same as sentra and corolla. And the G has a smaller trunk than all of them.
But back to the original topic, even though sometimes I find the car to be a bit snug, so far, it feels very reliable to me.

These are the Maxima Specs:
Head room (front/rear) (with Dual Panel Moonroof) 38.8/36.4
Leg room (front/rear) 43.8/34.6
Hip room (front/rear) 53.4/53.9
Shoulder room (front/rear) 56.3/55.1

G37 Specs:
Head room (front/rear) (with Dual Panel Moonroof) 39.1/37.2
Leg room (front/rear) 43.9/34.7
Hip room (front/rear) 55.1/53.7
Shoulder room (front/rear) 55.6/55.2

Almost exactly the same. In fact, the G is slightly larger in most categories.

Strange.
My friend just got a 2010 maxima. It's huge compared to my car. I move the driver's seat all the way back and it's not enough, and no one can sit behind me because of lack of legroom. In the max, I move his driver's seat all the way back and I'm comfortable, and people can fit behind me. I'm very surprised to see the numbers.
I think someone on those websites got high and drunk and screwed up with the measuring.

His car feels more spacious. But I still like mine much more. They both seem to have decent quality also.

As a die hard infiniti guy who currently owns 4 great cars (92 m30, 94 q45a, 03 g35 coupe, and replaced my totaled g37 sedan with an ex37)
It just is a shame that more of the general public isn't aware of how excellent these cars are.
