How come there's no back window wiper?

Wipers only seem weird to you all since it's not a norm in the U.S. The same way you all make fun of the rear wiper people in other places/countries people make fun of other things for example those over the window visors.. It has a lot to do with what you are accustomed to. I see the positives and negatives in every part

Here is the infiniti known as the G20 in the U.S....better known as the Nissan Camino or Primera in Japan with rear wiper . As i said ...you all think it's weird just because you are accustomed to not seeing it ..but in a lot of countries it's the norm.

actually I had one on my old SUV and kind of useful... for when someone is tailgating you. turn on your rear window wiper to spray some windshield fluid and it the guy behind you get their car dirty

I think the G has a slick appearance with nice lines and angles. Adding a rear windshield wiper would totally ruin the simple and clean look.
I've been using this, works pretty well...

I remember back in the day the hatchbacks also had 'em. I think the CRX had one, and I drove (my parents') similar first-gen acura integra in high school in the early 90s that had one. During that time those hatchback rear windows were in-general sloped much more horizontally than they are today.
I think a few hatches still have them today though. But now the industry standard seems backwards to me. It seems cars with near- vertical rear windows like SUVs or even the Mazda 3 would be less in need of a rear wiper. But those are the cars that are likely to have them.

I think they are useless on a sedan. I was driving for 45 minutes as it started really raining hard. I never went below 50mph and the rear window didn't get one drop of water on it. I think that says something.
It's funny when I had my Legacy GT there were constant posts on the Subie forum about why the Japanese sedan has a wipe and the US models don't.
