According to this site Massachusetts Window Tint Law - TintCenter.com
its 35% and two different shops told me 35% as well.

I wish there wasn't a limit, but I'm very happy with the 27%. I figure, I'll be careful even at that amount and if I ever get pulled over just open all 4 windows so they can see in the car.

my dad is a cop in Longmeadow, MA and 35% is correct (even he thinks its bs since he has 15% on his Camaro)

Massachusetts is defiantly a place where they do not let you get away with tint. When I was living there I went with a buddy who had 15% on his IS300 to get his inspection and right once we pulled up the guy handed him a razor and told him to get peeling....WEAK!!!

Im going tomm. to tint my 37x(black).....i was undecided to go with 25% or 20%...i am def gonna go with 20% thou. I also live in MA, but the hell with it...the only thing im concerned with is getting an inspection sticker, even then i dont think its anything that an extra 20 bucks cant take care of.

Seriously, if it's the end of the month and cops need to write enough tickets, you'll get pulled over for any of these stupid reasons: dark tint, 70 in 60 zone, fail to turn headlights on, fail to signal when changing lanes, exhaust too loud, music too loud, DWN (drive while naked) lol

THe worst ticket I had was years ago for failure to Dim Lights. Cop said I had my high beams on...he had never seen Xenon lights before. Still gave me a ticket!

I'm getting a waiver through the GSP for light sensitivity. My wife's eye doctor signed a form that allows us to get below legal tint in both our cars....

Do you really think a cop will validate that or even care? I hope it works for you but something tells me if a cop saw that he would still write you a ticket.

EDIT: Sorry I didnt understand that GSP meant Georgia State Police...hope it def works then!

metalized tint films

Our manual says not to use metalized films for they may interfer with the tire air pressure sensor communication to the car. Anyone know if this is really true? I like the films that have a slight metalized content for they do not scratch easy, filter UV and reflect heat better than standard tints do. Luminar was what I had on my last car and it never gave me any problems with lifting, peeling or fading and it was 7 years old when I sold that car. Before the heat kicks in here in Texas I need to get something on my 2009 G37S sedan.

Next Tuesday, I have an appointment to have the windows tinted. I told them I wanted the electronics safe film. They said they would use carbon film, if I recall right.
I'm also going with 35% on the side windows. I haven't decided if I should go 20% on the back window or put 35% on it also.
I could get away with a lot darker tint, in Florida, but I had darker on other cars and didn't like the hassle of trying to see out the side windows at night.
I remember on one of my cars, with fairly dark tint, that the film seemed to highlight the defroster grid in the back window. I would like to avoid that.

I've heard putting much darker tint on the back window opposed to the sides darkens the interior significantly and is a good alternative to doing 35% all around.

Be aware that the stock tint on the G's windows is 74% so if you use 40% tint your result will be what I have... 27%. I'm not sure if people are actually trying to find a tint that will provide them a net result of 35%. Seems kinda like a lot of work.

I don’t know about your state but in California such notes are only valid for daytime driving. For night driving, as strange as it seems, the otherwise illegal tint must be removed, so such doctor notes are virtually useless for night driving.

Lightbulb Window Tint

Nice, neat looking car I also had mine tinted 35% all around and I'm really happy with the results. No problem with the cops lol I consulted with http://www.TintBuyer.com. They provide me information about window tints such as its types, quotations, laws involve in every state and most importantly, they helped me find the best professional tinter near me area. A fast and easy process!
