Questions about A/C compressor

I was wondering about a couple things....

1.) Does our A/C compressor automatically turn off under WOT? A lot of newer cars do this, especially newer performance cars.

2.) Is our compressor variable?....or does it cycle on and off?

I was under the impression that the answer to #1 is yes, but it doesn't feel like that is the case.

I don't know about it going off but mine seems to be very noisy when i'm sitting in traffic and chugging along at 5-10 mph. Anything higher then 10mph and the noise goes away.

I'm beginning to have a real love-hate relationship with this car.

^^^ Almost all G's are the same. Personally, I'd rather have a slightly noisy A/C that blows freezing cold air in 130+F ambient temps than a quiet one that blows hot as hell air *cough*BMW*cough*

Your A/C Compressor Pulley will be spinning anyways, unless you take that out you won't notice much of a difference

Absolutely right. This car has the coldest air conditioning I've ever had in a car, and it's cold almost immediately.
