Dead pedal vs gas pedal

I've had my G37xS for about 5 months and love it,but I've noticed one detail that may have been overlooked by the ergonomics engineer.
It seems the the gas pedal and dead pedal have different angles of incline. The dead pedal is lower,or flatter to the ground, maybe about 35 degrees from the horizontal, but the gas pedal is steeper, about 45 to 55 degrees from the ground.

I didn't notice this until I went on an extended trip, and found my right ankle to be uncomfortable,as it was too bent.

Most cars designed for driving pleasure equalize the angles of the dead pedal and the gas pedal.(Porsche,BMW etc)

Anyone else have this gripe or I am nitpicking?

I have never noticed that before but I'll check it out when I get in the car to go home...

I'm suprised I haven't noticed this too b/c I am a stickler about stuff like this too and recently drove South Carolina -> Colorado -> Texas -> South Carolina...would've thought I'd notice something like that

I've noticed this, and my right ankle hurts too after long stints of driving. IMO, the gas pedal is too perpendicular to the floor. Thus, freeway driving becomes tiring and painful since your toes are pointing near vertical.

Funny you say that because after a long trip where I dont have use the clutch my left ankle actually hurts a litte from the angle it sits on the "dead pedal".

Yeah on the ride home I checked this and they are at different angles...the reason I didn't notice is because my right foot naturally sits further back on the accelerator so it is at almost the same angle as the dead pedal. I would never have known if you didn't say something lol

No,I have a sticker that says,"my other car is a G37"

Just using a sports car example to illustrate my point.
Enjoying the G so much,I'm putting the Porsche for sale, interested?

Heh heh. 'Course I'm interested but don't have money for another car.

Back on the topic, I was paying attention to this on the drive home and it feels like it's at a perfect angle...for the MT. My heel basically stays in place and the foot is in a good position to go back and forth between the clutch and dead pedal.

But I'm not sure what the angle is for the at, or if the same would work.

I failed to mention that I have the at,and the angle difference is apparent on longer drives.

On longer drives, why not use the cruise control and not worry about foot fatigue?

i thought the dead pedal is supposed to used to brace yourself in hard corners, not as a footrest for long drives to be equal to the gas pedal.

edit: and yes, why not just use the cc?
