2010 G37 Sedan 20th Anniversary Edition
#16
This is the classic example of an OEM trying to breath live into the sales of a car on the mature side of it's sales cycle. There's nothing left to do technically or design-wise so add some colored seats, revive a bumper that was probably second in line behind the new bumper, leverage the wheel supplier for a good deal on a few sets of something they probably tooled up for anyway, etc.
To me this suggests that the platform will be all new in 2011.
And really, who wants this car just because it's a limited edition? Limited edition cars make sense if there's collector value. In this case it makes sense if you like the red seats, new wheels and bodywork.

More than $50k for a coupe! WTF there goes the price advantage we used to brag about over BMW.
But of course some old rich dude will buy it and explain to his friends that the "anniversary" edition has a twin-supercharger with an expanded restrictor plate thats not street legal... But keep that on the down low.

It actually has a little more then you guys are thinking. The sedan is the only one of the three without the special red accents. (dont know why) Yes it is fully loaded. What is being left out is the full factory aero package kit (usually a 4k factory option) that is included on this car. So take a fully loaded sedan at 43k (sprt nav premium and tech) tach on 4k for aero kit, add special seats (love em or hate em) and your looking at 48k. The anniversary edition is 44k, so your actually saving money. And we are actually using full incentives on these models. Just to clear up the air.
