Unhappy Please help major issue!!!

Ok so thanks in advance for any help!! Sorry if its really long or in the wrong forum

Feb 22- I drive my 09 G37s sedan 6MT to my appts for the day. When I left my appt I tried to open the car and NO NADA NONE of the electrical worked AT ALL! The car was parked on a 45 degree incline facing up the hill. I tried everything(ie putting Fob in slot, jumping car) finally I called roadside to tow it and got a ride with a friend. Roadside assistance told me I have to go back to the car. When I got there my other friends told me the alarm was going off and all of the sudden everything worked fine. No problems since...........UNTIL

Today- I goto my 1st appt and also parked on a 45 degree incline facing up hill. I come out, start car it works fine and then when I goto drive away as I accelerate the car begins to shutter pretty bad until I shift to 2nd gear, then fine until I begin accelerating and it begins to shutter again, then I shift and then its fine until once again as I accelerate it begins to shutter and so on and so on until I'm in 6th gear. THEN as I'm driving everything shutoff except the engine. EVERYTHING ELECTRONIC SHUT OFF and the ENGINE was still running. I make it to a Nissan dealer and I cant even turn the car off without stalling, which I didn't want to do. They told me they cant do anything and to goto the Infiniti dealer up the road.

The infiniti dealer looks at it and tells me the PCM has water in the box and that the car may have been flooded. BULL****!!! The car is in perfect shape and I looked under the rugs and there is not even the slightest indication of it sitting in water. However, they found some aftermarket sensor spliced into the PCM wiring and because it was done poorly the wire connections are coming apart.

I looked up what the sensor is and found it online as a CODEALARM shock sensor. What does this do?

Now my problem is if my car trouble is related to this, the warranty wont pay for these repairs and my wiring harness and what not will no longer have that nice 60k warranty, it will only have a 12/12.

Now I began doing some digging and the guy I got it from said he had absolutely nothing installed and the dealer he got it from didn't. However I found out the car was dealer traded from another Infiniti dealer, so I am trying to find out what dealer.

What I'm figuring is because 6MT Sedans are rare and typically ordered for a specific customer, this particular customer ordered it and wanted this installed and then backed out and the dealer just traded it. My question is, if I can get some proof showing that a dealer installed this and then swapped it without disclosing this, will I be able to get this taken care of under warranty and not have to worry about my warranty basically being voided??????

Also the dealer is telling me that the clutch is fried, if there has never been any indication of the clutch slipping do any of you see a plausible explanation for how I could arrive at a house with a perfectly good clutch and leave with a fried clutch??

Has anyone ever experienced anything remotely close to this??
What does the shock sensor do????
Why would you want one installed??
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ANY HELP

This is what a shock sensor does:

A couple of important facts are missing:

1) How many miles are on your G and how long have you owned it?
2) Is the dealer saying your OEM harness was cut to install an aftermarket part?
3) Are you a second or third owner of this car?

Unless you can prove in small claims court the dealer installed an aftermarket motion sensor, you may be SOL. Also, clutches can get damaged and worn easily if they've been used hard. It's a wear item so not covered under any warranty.

That is a perfect example why many forums over the years have become extinct or abandoned. Not something you'd expect from "Staff". If time is so precious that one can't be bothered to read the man's post, then one shouldn't have enough time to type a response that is composed of nothing but meaningless drivel. Although, with over 8,000 posts, you would think he'd have plenty of time on his hands, lol.

OP , it sounds like you found your problem. The ECU sounds like its its fried. I would definately take it to the dealer that you bought it from.

What mods do you have?
How many miles on the car?
Have you tried resetting the cars ECU?

I assume you have an aftermarket alarm since you refer to your alarm was going off in the first incident. If the aftermarket alarm install is the cause of the power cutting out, which is possible if the wiring splice is causing that, then it should be easily repaired without a major concern of whether it's a warranty issue or not. Even if a dealer had that alarm installed by a third party they generally don't accept it as dealer installed or warranted but if you can confirm that the first dealer installed it then you have some options.

The question of water in the "BCM"? which controls all internal electronics including the push start. That's probably why it wouldn't start the first time, and why you had no electronics when the engine was running the second time. That's located in the passenger footwell and it's possible that water could get in if there's a leak between the firewall and passenger compartment, i.e. when they installed the alarm. I recall someone on this forum had a similar water problem for that same reason.

Good luck.

Ok so I knew it was a long post, thats why I put all the emoticons in to try and keep people with short attention spans *cough* gamedog *cough* engaged.

So here is a quick timeline. For this purpose the guy I bought it from will be referred to as Tom

Vehicle was at a Northern Florida Dealer
Tom leases G in June or July of 09 from Coast Infiniti vehicle not in stock
Dealer swapped to Coast Infiniti in Sarasota for Tom
Tom had lease until I bought it out of his lease on Feb 13th 2010

During Tom's ownership he installed a Stillen exhaust and 19" TSW wheels and the dealer installed Tinted windows and the rear decklid spoiler.

Tom put 7900 miles on the vehicle, since I purchased the vehicle it now has 10154.

I don't know how much I trust Fette ford Infiniti on route 46, the service rep was giving me short answers and didn't seem like he understood 100% wth he was talking about, not to mention they only recently added Infiniti to their store.

Having been on the forum for a long time, you get to know what everyone's humor is like and the way they post. Gamedog means no harm, just playing around like he usually does. So let's give everybody a break here, haha. And frankly, if it weren't for that kind of mentality, this forum would have died a long time ago.

OP, can you get all documentation on that vehicle? How come you weren't informed that the alarm was installed when you took delivery? I'd bring that up to the dealership you purchased the car from. Everything that came with the car should've been listed for you.

I don't know how they can make the leap to the friend clutch when they originally blamed it on the electrical.

@dkmura The dealer showed me the Shock sensor and it is spliced into the PCM's wire harness and it isn't properly done, no soder or heatshield.

And I am the 2nd owner

Definitely try another dealership. You may have a completely different experience. Can you take a picture or describe the splice?
